For: Magic Box SCAR Aluminum Chamber Adapter For Tokyo Marui Next GenerationProduct Information:
An Adapter that will do the trick.
I purchased this adapter to be use for my Tokyo Marui SCAR-L Mk.16 Mod.0 Flat Black (Next Generation). I own a pack of Socom Gear TROY 190rnd M4 / M16 Mid Cap. Those mags will be reviewed at another time, but for the purpose of this review, I had these mags available to try.
The installation was a bit daunting at first b/c no one had posted any installation guide anywhere on the web that I could find. Luckily it was easy, as all I had to do was put the adapter on the bb feeding tube which sticks out just a few cm in the mag well (you cant miss it). Now looking at the adapter, make sure the end with the partial tube piece that sticks out is facing up at you when you install (the left side of the piece when looking at the picture of the product). You will notice that end doesnt have a complete circle, thats because the way the mags are built it needs a rectangular like space to squeeze together to the mag. From there simply press the piece into place and twist it to adjust alignment for the mag to slide in without an angle. Done. Easy.
Does it work?
Yes, it fed my Socom mid caps with ease. It did however came off attached to a high cap when I discharged the mag. I do not know the brand of the mag only that it has an outer metal shell and was included with an Apex M4. I suppose you could carefully super glue the adapter onto the gun, but that might hamper you from ever wanting to use the TM mags if you plan on purchasing them in the future b/c you know those were built to work effectively for their guns.
(I have reasons to conclude that since the mid caps have a plastic spring piece poking from the entry to help the bbs through, where the high cap does not have a similar design, its that piece in the mid caps that keeps from pulling the adapter out with it. So this adapter may only work w/ mid caps. Just a hypotheses. Which is fine by me. I enjoy the mixture of having a good amount of ammo that I cant burn thru like with a real mag, but with the limited count, that allows me to reload once in a while for some realism.
-made of aluminum instead of adding another plastic piece to your gun
-seems to fit and feed m4 mid caps without popping off
-saves you from spending anymore money on gun specific mags cause we all know the TM's are expensive enough
-kept popping off when I removed an m4 high cap mag
-may need to make this adapter permanent by gluing it on to avoid it popping off during a firefight
