System Super Core

This Piston is just pure wicked! After almost 15,000 or so rounds and about 5 games later, I recently did some maintenance on my gearbox, and after re-inspecting any signs of wear, nicks, cracks, splits, you name it, there was none whatsoever! I am a true believer in this piston! Price is a bit steep, but you wont regret it! Just as long as you have this properly installed and your gears are shimmed right, you cant go wrong with whatever set-up you may have. Overall, 5 out of 5 stars! This Piston ROCKS!

Pros:
-Somewhat light in weight
-Metal Teeth!
-Strong, durable in build
-Price a tad high

Cons:
-Are you kidding me?

Ok look all I wanted to say is that this piston is WAAAAYYYY over priced. I mean just look at it, 50 bucks for a piece of plastic that won't last over 1 month in a high speed gun. The ASGI Azimuth piston (Not really an Airsoft Gi brand) costs 18 dollars, which is the most I've seen them be sold for over the internet, but still a great price. (WGC Shop sells them for 7 dollars, wow, but I'm too lazy to get them shipped here from hong kong) The azimuth last WAAAAAYYYYYY longer, can withstand a vice, and are under 1/3 the price.

Pros:
None

Cons:
1.) Overpriced
2) Not that sturdy
3) Use your money and buy three azimuth pistons, they will last you longer than you will play airsoft

Product Information:
White plastic, it is pretty thick looking. Metal teeth are also thick and pretty hard. It took a lot longer to dremel the teeth for engagement for high rate of fire short - teething. Really nothing huge to say as this is considered one of the strongest polycarbonate pistons out there. I needed this because I broke the lip of a Guarder polycarbonate piston in my 35+ rps setup with 350 fps. Just need something durable for the high rof abuse. It's also pretty light considering what it can do. It is not light enough to prevent pre-engagement in high rof guns, for that you much take a tooth out.

Pros:
Metal and plastic are very very hard. They would not respond to the dremel. That's a good thing as I could eventually grind away, but I don't want that happening during play. It can handle heavy play. You may even consider using your stock gears with this since it's plastic (mostly). Although it's recommend to upgrade gears once the strain and load on the spring gets high enough. My spring is not that strong and therefore stock gears are alright for a while. If the engagement is correct then there should be little problem for a while.

Cons:
It is NOT swiss cheesable. This introduces TOO much flex from the design and it breaks not only the weakspots in the metal teeth, but also the ridge that holds the metal teeth. That ridge for some reason is very thin, and because of the hardness of this plastic it is pretty brittle. This problem is also compounded by the fact that the metal teeth do not like to be ground down. If you grind them down too much you WILL break something in a high rate of fire setup.

I broke 3 of these because I decided to swiss cheese it before I found out what the problem was. The next one I bought I did not swiss cheese and I CAREFULLY ground down the final tooth ONLY ENOUGH to miss engagement! Now it fires perfectly! This is not really a con, but a warning, because it's not the piston's fault, but my own.

This piston looks GREAT when it shows up in the packaging, but it's lackluster IMHO as far as longevity is concerned. The piston did not even make it to a game! I shot approx 4 mid cap mags through it, and took the GB apart, to find the teeth were already wearing down on it! Very unimpressive! I tried adjusting the AOE, and even when it was set correctly it still showed more signs of wear....

I'm very upset that I spent the money on this. I'll stick to the tried and true CA yellow reinforced pistons that cost half as much!

Pros:
Looks great
Xtra Metal teeth
reinforced sidewalls surrounding the teeth should add to durability

Cons:
Polymer seems soft
Teeth wore down unbelievably fast!
Price is pretty steep!

Product Information:
This is a great piston, durable, light. You can use it for high torque, high speed, or for both. I have this piston in all my AEG's and has never let me down. i went from a 6mm gear box to a 7mm gear box, closed cylinder, 150sp Guarder spring, and this piston feels at home. I recommend that evreyone use this piston from here on.

Pros:
durable, versatile, light weight, works really great.

Cons:
didn't find one yet..
