Opened up the box, was actually rather surprised. Unpleasantly. The color is much greener than you would expect. The pictures here make it look more alpha gray, so I was expecting something gray that I could use for a Texas winter - to blend with the dead trees better. Turns out it looks slightly more like the Olive Drab one on this site. It's probably just the lighting they used for the pictures, more than any mischievousness on the part of ASGI, but just a friendly heads-up to potential buyers.
On to the jacket - the quality is pretty sweet for an $80 knock-off of the TAD version. It's water resistant, as described. The pockets are great, and it's very warm. Easily does the job of a fleece jacket. There are some loose bits of string from the sowing they used, but in general I don't get the sense that the jacket will fall apart any time soon.
For those of you deciding between a TAD Gear one and this OE Tech one - you don't need the TAD one. This will suffice. Will all that money you save, you can get a couple extra mags, or just save it for a rainy day. This jacket will do the job you want it to, and will make you look great! I've already gotten several compliments on it, just walking around outside.
Pockets - internal and external
Quality/dollar is great
When hood is folded down, collar gets rather fat - just something I'm not used to.
The color is not what I expected judging by the pictures.
Some Q/C issues with the loose bits of string from making this baby.
