Product Information:
When I first laid eyes on this pistol I thought it was too good to be true. A gas blow back pistol for under 70 dollars? I was somewhat hesitant when I decided to purchase it, but I needed a sidearm and I was on a budget.

When I took it out of the box I was surprised at how heavy it was. A quick field strip revealed that all the internal moving parts were metal. I also noticed that the slide and majority of the lower portion (lower receiver?) were lined with metal.

The blowback action is crisp and precise, and feels incredible. When the last shot is fired the slide locks back, as to be expected from a GBB handgun. I was able to shoot 3 magazines on a single fill of propane. The magazine is double stack and holds 26 bbs.

My favorite feature on this gun is the ridge on the grip that leads to the magazine release button. A common problem I've come across with airsoft pistols is that the magazine release can be pressed when holstered, effectively feeding your expensive gas magazine to the field. This ridge, which I assume is a thumb rest, also serves to protect the magazine release from accidental depression when the pistol is secured in a holster.

A feature that put me off at first was the lack of a push button safety. Instead of this there is a pull down switch at the base of the grip behind the magazine. This disengages the trigger so that it does not work the action in the gun. There is also a trigger safety that makes the first trigger pull after cocking the gun more difficult.

While not as flashy or recognizable as a m1911 or m9, the Sigma SW 40F is an excellent buy for anyone looking for an affordable GBB pistol. Having fielded the gun twice and passing hundreds of bb's through it I can wholeheartedly recommend purchasing it. Don't be put off by the price or plastic exterior. This gun has performed on par, if not better, than other GBB pistols I've owned.
