For: CA SAS M-7 AEG Airsoft Gun (Sportline/Value Package)Product Information:
I've had an eye on this gun since it came out, and recently got it in the mail. While I had my troubles (Still waiting on the battery to get here.) getting it, I'm glad it was well worth the trial. I've owned the TM AK47 before this, and I have to say the sportline is much more solid then the TM, the metal is heavier, the magazine feels nicer and secures in place better. It also has a slightly higher ROF then the TM, while not being blistering all the same. The gun is fairly accurate in my case even with the cheap 6.08 aluminum barrel and stock CA bucking, both of which I advise to change out somewhat soon, firefly and systema make excellent buckings.
The folding stock is metal, a bit wobbly and clumsy when folding/opening, not much you can do to improve on it however. It's good for what it's made for, a simple stock. Don't go bashing down doors with it or falling on it (not advised for a full stock AK47 ether, mind you.) and you will be fine.
The only gripe I have in mine is that I have no clue if the barrel is threaded under the flash hider or not, it sure is glued in place if it is however, and the gun sounds like it can have a good shimming job as it sounds just a wee bit like it's grinding.
Over all, if you're looking for the cheapest AK47S out there, here's your gun. If you're looking for a good AK47 and don't mind the rails, Echo's Vector arms will probably serve you better.
Solid for a plastic gun.
Everything works as advertised and well.
Clocked 330FPS on the 47S and 338FPS on the 47.
Accurate for the cheap 6.08 barrel.
Grips feel good, though are not rubberized.
Held together with hex screws and not philip head screws.
Solid front barrel assembly.
600 round high capacity magazine.
Pain to break down to the core components (all AKs)
Stock could be made better.
Better shim job, but the other AK47 sportline sounds great.
Threads if there are none.
Feels like a paper weight compared to heavier guns (M249, ICS L85, etc.)
Has an echo from the spring each shot. Happens with 90% of CA's. CA, get better springs.
It's a 47S, so stick battery, pain to get it in, but stays secure. Doubt it will fit a 9.6v.
Again, it's a 47S, you're fairly limited on placing a rail if you chose to.
Not so great for CQB, but there are worse.
Folded stock blocks selector switch.
