Product Information:
Well after almost two years this gun is still going strong. I have fired probably over 100K bb's through mine with no real problems. It still fires at about 300fps and the accuracy is still good. The sandstone finish on mine has held up quite well too. The only real upgrades i have done are install a KA RAS and new hopup bucking. I think i will install a tightbore and KWA 2g bucking to squeeze out all the accuracy i can out of this thing. Other than that a great rifle. I tried to replace it with a CYMA SOCOM 16 but it didnt compare to the marui version at all. I had about 25K through that gun before i lost the sector gear and shredded it. This just goes to show you get what you pay for.

Pros:
Solid shooter
Accurate
Dependable
Lives up to Marui standards

Cons:
Selector switch a bit fragile
Heavy
Low FPS compared to "clones" firing 350+

I've had this gun since january of 06, and put about 100,000 rounds through it. I barely clean it.. shame on me, and I've never had 1 jam. Everyone says the rifle is the quietest they've ever heard, and wondered what I've done to it. It's still stock yet, and when it breaks I'll upgrade it. For now I just might put a tightbore barrel in there to improve the already phenomenal accuracy. It can shoot just as far as any upgraded gun, just doesn't penetrate brush easily as other guns.

Once I bought this rifle, I haven't found any other gun I liked soo much since.

The ONLY downside of this, it can get very heavy to tote around after a while, but if you really like this gun soo much, that is really no big deal.

If you looking for a top of the line NO FUSS RIFLE go with the TM version of the SOCOM. I tried the CA 'Scout' version and its based of the G&G so its hit and miss. The finish and fit of this rifle is head and shoulders above any $150 chinese knockoff. Believe me go with tokyo marui. Its comes out to $400 after tax but it is so worth it. I own several other TM's (metal bodied M733, SIG 552) and the M14 is the nicest of all of them. Range and accuracy is excellent as well as hopup. Like i said if you want soemthing you can just grab and go with little to no maintence go TM!!

Well, all i got to say for this gun is, if you have the money, "BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
totaling up the performance it gives you 360 is little CQB or outdoor, this gun can take it all.
This is out of all the other tm's i have, to me, is the best.

Like the saying TM has done it again!! out with another great gun.
I suggest this gun to all you CQB and tm fans.
Well after being a victim of this gun many times
i finally got it and man did it do a marvelous job at shooting
the shorter barrel giving you the good maneuver in those tight spots

the stock feels great and the gearbox is yet a mystery to open it up
but it is nice looking and requires no cocking at the bottom

this gun does not come with battery or charger so make sure you add that to the price.
for you crazy auto users that are just plain trigger happy.
make sure you buy the high cap 440 rds really nice
70rds you run out in no time since the gun averages 800 rd to the min.

it has a shoulder rest and a bolt action thing that does not lock in place, mostly for looks
barrel can be extended though you don't need too if you doing CQB
the weight, length, and width is really close to the real m14 based m1a socom
really impressive and i must say seeing this thing pointed at me was of course
intimidating

this to me is a must have gun for tm fans
really easy to use and not complicated at all
just a punch to your wallet!! :)

Excellent gun! The reliable out-of-the-box performance of a TM M14, with a shorter barrel and a very stylish stock + engraving.)

The original box for this gun has a black satin-like cloth inside, along with the standard TM accessories with a new gun (cleaning rod, small bb bag, 1 standard mag). When you pick it up, you notice that it's heavy for an airsoft gun, and has a very solid feel to it. The stock has a 'sandstone finish,' which gives ita nice dark color with a rough texture. Rack the bolt back and it gives a satisfying metallic clink. Unfortunately you can't engage to bolt catch, but that's forgiveable in this gun's case.

Overall length is comparable to a CA M15A4 SPC (Solid stock M4). The M14 SOCOM is just about an inch longer.

Fitting an 8.4v 1700 mAh in the stock takes a little finesse, but it'll fit as long as you have the fuse in the right position (check your included manual for how to do so).

The gun chronoed at a consistent 270-280 fps out of the box. As TM M14's are famous for having excellent range out of the box, I'm not going to mess with the internals for a little while, until I see a need to upgrade the spring and piston head to start it off. In the case that you do want to break this gun down, it comes apart just like a real M14. Push the trigger guard towards the rear of the gun and lift upwards. The guard swings forward and the whole piece slides out. Make sure the wires from the rear of the gun can come through easily, then simply wiggle the top metal parts out from the stock. Voila! You're looking at your internals. Your next challenge is gathering the bravery to crack open the shiny new version 7 gearbox.

Overall an EXCELLENT rifle, even out of the box. TM comes through once more to show why they are a main competitor in the high grade airsoft gun market.
