Product Information:
Let me start off by saying that I personally own the m7 variant and not the m8, however being that both are literally the same gun I figured I'd write a review. To begin with the externals of this gun are incredible, as mentioned in another review the externals are better than most kwa and g&g guns,(to be expected from KA).The internals are ok but definitely are outdated and could use better out of the box parts. One huge problem is I also lost the ability to fire semi auto after about a week or so. Accuracy is very good and features a nice one piece hop up system. also adding to the realism a functioning bolt and bolt catch have been added. If I could build a dream gun as far as externals go than this would be it, but I would definitely consider scrapping most of the internals of the gear box as they are not up to par with most other guns.overall this gun is a great veterans gun as long as you are willing to put in some TLC and a few extra bucks.

Outstanding externals
Surprisingly high ROF even with a 9.6
Gun is absolutely rock solid
Perfect fps for CQB
Great KA accessories that come stock

Old and outdated internals
Stock and magazine wobble regardless of what mag
Losing ability to fire full auto

Product Information:
I've been playing Airsoft for a few years now. I've owned and tried various AEGs over the years...let me tell you this rifle will not disappoint. The gun is simply solid both externally and internally. From a performance standpoint, I found this gun is very accurate on both semi and full auto modes. Feature-wise, the gun includes real steel trademarks and Troy Battle sights which definitely adds an element of agressive styling and authenticity. In practice, this gun feels as comfortable in both CQB and on the field.

There were only two negative points I can think of worth mentioning. First the stock wobbles a bit (to be clear only the butt stock wobbles. The slide is absolutely solid) Second, some of the RIS screws needed to be tightened out of the box. This was a simple fix with an allen Key.

Bottom line, if you're looking for a no-nonsense gun with solid features out of the box, you won't go wrong with the OA-15 M8. Pound for pund this is one of the best price performance AEGs out there.

Solid Construction
High Quality Internals
Plenty of rail space for various mounts
Aggressive styling
Real Steel Trades
Troy Battle Sights included
versatile for both field and cqb.

Stock wobbles a bit
RIS screws needed to be tightened out of the box.

Product Information:
I wanted something that was compact and agile enough for CQC but having enough range, accuracy, and "omph" to still be competitive when transitioning to a field environment. I went ahead and purchased the OM-15 M8 to fill this role.

My first impressions positive. I've been a long-time user of KWA pistols and AEGs, all of which have been solidly constructed and performed flawlessly for me, so branching out to a brand I haven't encountered before made me a bit apprehensive. Needless to say the exterior construction and fit of the Oberland Arms M8 is superb, maybe even better than the quality I am used to with KWA.

Unfortunately while King Arms does an exceptional job of the exterior construction, their internals leave a lot to be desired. Within two weeks my AEG lost the ability to fire semi-automatic, a problem that I am still trying to diagnose (I have it narrowed down to either the trigger assembly, cut-off latch, or the sector gear). While a majority of other high-end AEG manufacturers have transitioned to bearings, King Arms still uses bushings with shims and they stick more than I'd like. The gears, piston, and cylinder however seem to be solidly constructed.

My biggest beef out of everything else, even the semi-auto issue, is their quality control. My M8 had so many loose hex screws and spring pins I nearly called them for an RMA. However because I am knowledgeable with working on AEG's it didn't take long to get everything re-tightened (at which point everything fit snugly together with no wobble). The screw that keeps the buffer tube on for the stick will wear down very quickly under the stress of moderate skirmishing because it is too short and doesn't screw into the lower receiver/rear of gearbox fully like most others do. I'm having to find a replacement to re-mount the stock.

Three out of five stars. Minus one star for outdated internals. Minus another for poor quality control. I would recommend this to veteran players willing to put work into the gun to make up for King Arm's shortcomings. I would recommend this to new players once King Arms squares their QA department away and gets with the times in using more modern V2 gearboxes.

Superb exterior construction and fit.
Unique, rock-solid rail system.
Realistic Weight.
Shoots ~370 FPS out of the box with .20's
Flexible skirmish environment: Can do CQC or field.

Internals are out-dated and somewhat fragile; lack of bearings is disappointing.
Quality Control is very poor -- make sure to tighten all screws and spring-pins before use.
