For: Echo 1 Full Metal Entreprise Arms SOF 3 Airsoft GunProduct Information:
This is a great gun. Simple. A bit on the heavier side, compared to an M4, but it's modeled after a battle rifle. And it performs like a battle rifle: with a scope, I'm regularly pegging at a good 75 yards. It takes a .25g BB really well, so you never have to worry about the wind messing you up too badly. One magazine has enough rounds to play conservatively; I have 5 and generally don't have to reload over a whole day. Mine has an 11.1v LiPo in it, mostly firing in short full-auto bursts. I've never had it run down, and the ROF is blistering when I'm just using it for suppressive fire. My only gripe is the lack of a good RIS. The shorter versions have RIS available for fore-grips and such, but the only alternative for the long-barrel I've found is the King Arms RIS, which is discontinued.
Accurate. Would make a good DMR.
Powerful, both in terms of volume of fire as well as how far the BB's go.
Solid. As. A. Rock.
A little heavy (just got a 3-point sling, that pretty much eliminates the weight issue).
The magazine is a little different to get in than a standard M4, so it takes some getting used to. Nothing too bad, just a small learning curve with weapon familiarity.
The long-barreled version doesn't have much support for an RIS. If you want a good CQB, I'd suggest the short-barreled versions. As it is, it's definitely more of a field gun.
