So far i have used this vest for 10 full games and it is great for biggener players getting their forst vest. When i first put this vest on, i had to do a lot of adjustments to get it to fit me. The pistol mag holders are fine if you dont have fat mags like mine that hold the CO2 in em so i just use those mag pouches to hold my CO2.One recomended mod that i did was remove the pistol holster and replace it with a m4 mag pouch. Then use the belt it comes with to hold a thigh pistol holster. Overall
Pros:
-Has the basic mag pouches and pistol holster
-comfortable to wear (once adjusted)
-Strong material
Cons:
-seems a lot of noobs wear this type of vest so i am gonna get somthing to replace it soon.
-Only holds 3 m4 mags and are hard to fit the mags in.
This was a gift from my buddies that got me into airsofting, and as a beginner tactical vest, this is one of the best things someone could pick up. It holds three M4 mags, four pistol mags, and has a smaller pouch on the belt for a small flashlight or a suppressor or something. In addiotion, it has an admin pouch and on the lower left side, there is slanted MOLLE real estate. The whole back is MOLLE as well, and the vest comes with an integral hydration carrier. The battle belt is what I love though. There is so much space to add a bayonet couch, or a dump pouch, or pistol holster. The whole set up is rather basic and easy to grasp. There are even two "document" pouches on the inner part of the vest to put stuff in. The whole thing is adjustable, and can accommodate many different sizes and body types.
If you are new to airsoft, be sure to grab this one to try it out. I personally am planning on moving on to a plate carrier, but this is perfect for most everyone
Pros:
Lots of mag pouches
Lots of MOLLE on the back
Velcro patches for your nametapes/patches/etc
included pistol holster (hence the name crossdraw)
Very lightweight and breathable
That battle belt
Cons:
Adjusting it can be a pain
Even if you do adjust it, the thing likes to slide around sometimes
No specialized classes will work (mag pouches don't fit many different types of sniper/non-M4/shotgun rounds)
You cannot customize it the way you like it.
NC Star crossdraw tactical vest (ACU)
I made some alterations. Using para cord. Punched a hole though the top of the holster, and tied the holster to the molle. The straps are cheap, and will not stay buttoned, plus the straps are loose and the allow the pistol to sag. I use an all metal pistol, so maybe the weight is an issue. The fix the buttons by tying para cord though the molle on the vest and holster. I bought the vest to experiment with a cheap vest before buying an expensive vest. This vest is not made well, so if you are looking for a quality vest to last, this is not it.
Pros:
Pouch for sniper mag.
Pockets on the inside.
The belt is very nice
The two spare pistol mags will hold a mag while running.
Cons:
The three pistol mag holder is too small. Just removed the straps.
Cheaply constructed.
Stitches are loose and missing in places
