The Specter Special Operations Patrol Sling was designed for a specific military special operations unit with their direct input. The design was so effective that it was officially made a part of the regular Specter product line. Although it is seemingly very similar, this sling actually differs from the standard Specter three point tactical slings in a number of very significant ways:
This sling can be used exactly like a conventional three point design, allowing all of the same carry options. However, when the need to cross shoulder transition is anticipated, simply flip the buckle release with the non-firing hand and change the weapon to the opposite side of your body. The sling is then released to slide freely allowing you to extend and mount on the other shoulder. A fastex buckle allows the emergency removal of the weapon from the body if necessary.
The Specter Special Operations Patrol Sling is made from the highest quality materials and is stitched on heavy duty industrial sewing machines using only mil-spec #69 nylon thread. Very strict attention to detail ensures the highest quality control standards possible; these slings are over engineered for the toughness that the modern battlefield demands.
- 1.5" webbing is used to better distribute the weight of the weapon.
- 1" attachment straps are used at each end to interface with the mounting adapters.
- Built-in ambidextrous set up for left or right handed operators.
- Transition Release Buckle (TRB) allows this sling to be quickly and efficiently extended to allow for left/right shoulder transitions.
