The G&G GR-16 A2 Sportline is another fine example of the GR-16 series. The difference is the Sportline is offered at a greatly reduced price because it has a plastic body. However, the G&G Sportline is solidly built and lacks the shortcomings of other plastic M16 designs that are known for developing "barrel wobble."
G&G stock externals are of better quality and more aesthetically pleasing that most after market upgrade parts. The receiver and stock is made of a hard, durable plastic. The integrated carry handle has a fully adjustable rear iron sight. The charging handle is functional and opens the bolt when it is pulled. Not even the full metal GR-16 line has this feature.
The realism of the G&G GR-16 is reinforced by the features of the barrel assembly. The one piece metal outer barrel is securely fastened to the upper receiver with an authentic style delta ring. Both handguard panels feature replica heat shields on the inside. The M16A2 even features a replica gas tube. G&G is on their way to setting a new precedent of top quality affordable AEGs.
