Elite Force Avalon VR16 Calibur CQC Carbine AEG Airsoft Rifle by VFC (Black)
[P08B00][31588 / HK-2273305 / 2273305]New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.
Description:
The VFC Avalon series airsoft guns come with a full metal body and high quality Avalon engravings. The extendable QRS stock allows you to adjust the length of rifle to your needs and the dust cover can be flipped open to adjust the hop-up. It also comes with an ambidextrous fire selector which is lefty friendly. It has a Keymod rail system with a monolithic upper rail, which allows room for different sights and accessories to be mounted.
An Experienced Player's POV: The Calibur CQB, like the Calibur Carbine, is the twin to the Saber CQB. Like the larger Carbine, it uses a 416 style rail and upper receiver. The Calibur is slightly beefier than its twin due to the upper receiver assembly, but it is still very good for CQB applications with an FPS of 330 very consistently.
The Avalon series by VFC is without a doubt the best out-of-the box rifle on the market. For the Avalon series, VFC created the ECS gearbox, which is the bone structure of the Avalon AEGs.
Starting with the gearbox shell, VFC smoothed out the machining and reinforced high stress areas of the shell. Further internally, the self-shimming gears have been done away with and replaced by stronger and slightly faster gears. The tappet plate, piston, spring guide have all been upgraded for further durability than in older VFC replicas. Lastly, the motor has been significantly upgraded from what VFC has used before. Using high power magnets, the motor his high torque but also very zippy, this combined with the gears and a newly included basic mosfet give the Avalon series amazing trigger response out of the box. This gearbox is recommended to be used with a 7.4v LiPoly battery. On an 11.1v battery, the motor is given a lot of power and will start to produce a very consistent 2 round burst while on semi-auto fire. This can be remedied by doing small modifications to internal components

One of the best out of the box guns. Does not need any internal upgrades only if you really want it to. Tight groupings and a nice rate of fire. Can easily hit targets 200 plus feet away with ease. Hands down favorite gun to date.
Pros:
Everything
Cons:
Nothing
I must say I love this rifle, I have only had it for a couple of weeks, but so far so good, gun has a good bit of metal which gives it a more realistic feel, I would buy this gun again, and the bronze color is on point.
Pros:
Metal, shoots good, nice stock, rails for scopes, lasers, etc
Cons:
Only con I have found so far is this gun will not fit all magazines, I ordered four G&P 130 round mags and they would not fit in the gun...
I am in love with this gun. It is the best rifle in my arsenal by far. I have a couple of decent m4's but this one is the sweetest by far. I run it with an 11.1 lipo and the ROF is great out of the box and the trigger response really snappy. I also absolutely love the bronze color they decided to go with as it really meshes well with my multicam loadout and I have already recieved several compliments on how well it goes with the rest of my gear. The build quality is amazing as one would expect from a VFC gun so you definitely get your money's worth. Some of my favorite features are the locking bolt, The ambidextrous fire selector, And The flat trigger.
I strongly recommend this gun to anyone who is looking for a premium rifle that is somewhat unique but is still amazing performance wise.
Pros:
- Very aesthetically pleasing
- Great ROF
- Very Snappy Trigger Response
- Very solid overall build
- Priced right for a premium gun
- The Bronze color is beautiful although black looks great too
- Functioning bolt catch makes hop up adjustments a breeze
- Overall weight of the gun is perfect. Not too heavy but solid and just light enough that you could carry it throughout longer games without getting tired.
Cons:
- The included QRS mag is a little difficult to get seated in the magwell at first. Overall they are not that good in my opinion. I'm definitely going to running my EPM's with it instead.
- Not a con for me really but I've heard that the mosfets are a little weak so I'm going to be upgrading it very soon just to be safe.
