This MOLLE Open Top Triple M4 Mag Pouch fits three (3) M4 magazines. The open top of this magazine pouch gives the user quick access to his magazines in order to reload in a hurry. Adjustable strap with pull-tab to hold the mags tight. Grommet on the bottom of the pouch allows for drainage.

I'v...more>> e had these pouches for the duration of my time in the Marine Corps infantry (Just a little over 5 years) and these pouches have exceeded my expectations in just about every way!

Pros:
Tough material - It can take a lot of abuse and doesn't really fray too much or tear.

MOLLE Straps - They're strong and more importantly STIFF. Which means they don't have as much tendency to sag or pull out if they come unbuttoned.

Retention cords - The bungee cord that holds the magazine in works well and best of all. The design lets you adjust the cord to your preference of tightness.

Over all ease of use - The design of these mag pouches for quick attachment and easy access make this a great product!

Cons:
To be honest I've loved just about everything about these pouches and am still using mine! The only problems I've experienced are only very minor things that just take adjustment and time to work through.

Stiff MOLLE straps - Although the straps are stiff and a little hard to work with when feeding them through the holes. It's actually still a pro since flimsy straps don't hold as well and would allow the mags to sag and bounce. The stiffness slows down quick take off and reattachment to gear but with practice you can take them off and put them on just as fast as anyone else.

Buttons on the straps - Some times they don't want to snap and sometimes they come unbuttoned. But this is where the pro's of the stiff straps come in.. Even if it does come unbuttoned the stiff straps ensure the pouches wont fall off with out a big fight. I've found that inserting a magazine into the pouches after you've weaved the straps helps in snapping the buttons closed.

The Bungee cord retention straps - Again.. this isn't a con. Just takes some practice and time getting used to. During Magazine retention drills the 3 stack magazine pouches sometimes have a tendency to let the retention cord fall in the way of the mag pouch opening during reinsertion.. So it's best to use the corner of the magazine to make a sweeping motion across the opening before trying to reinsert it, in order to clear the cord.
After 5 years of intense use and two combat deployments the bungee cord has began to lose its elasticity...but the great thing is that the design allows them to either be tightened or replaced by simply tying or untying the knot on the cord!

Once again.... this is an OUTSTANDING PRODUCT!!!
