G&G Combat Machine M4 Carbine Gas Blow Back Airsoft Rifle (Tan/Version 2)
[R08A00][15004 / GS2-16P-CAR-DBB-NCM]New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.
G&G's Combat Machine line has been an incredible hit throughout the airsoft world, becoming what is arguably the most popular budget-friendly AEG line available today, and now they have stepped up their game yet again. The G&G M4 GBBR Ver 2 Airsoft Gun is essentially the same Combat Machine platform that you have come to know and love, but with a blowback system instead of a gearbox. Externally, the gun features the same high quality polymer receivers and hand guard as the other Combat Machines, as well as the adjustable LE stock, removable carry handle, and front and rear sling points. Because the G&G M4 GBBR Airsoft Gun is based off of the Combat Machine platform, it comes in at an unprecedented price for a GBBR. So if you've been considering stepping into the world of GBBR airsoft guns but didn't want to spend a ton of money to do so, or you're looking for another great gas gun to add to your arsenal, be sure to check out the G&G M4 GBBR Airsoft Gun, and you'll surely be impressed.

Total break through in interchangeable systems (Gas _----_ electric). If you are into real steel shooting this is a good platform to buy without breaking the bank. Usually GBBRs are on the more expensive. I have had this gun since it came out on the market spring 2013 and it still going strong. I wanted the shorter RAIDER but they did not have it at that time.
Pros:
Shoots real hard. mine did 410fps when i got it.
I got the RIS version so i have lots of room for furniture.
The version 2 mags work really good. I can go through 60 rounds on one charge of gas.
excellent rate of fire.
Polymer construction made for a really light gun to run around with.
comes with one point sling mount on the buffer tube. (real good extra)
comfortable crane stock
Accurate
Cons:
The powerful vibration from the blow back system actually shook the screws of these parts: (yes these things came of while i was shooting)
-Main screw holding the buffer tube and sling mount.
-front outer barrel assembly the the front sight mounts the RIS fell off while i had it pointing down.
-The inner barrel actually flew out from the hop up unit. (it only slid out)
I have since rectified these defects with silicone adhesive and do not have problems anymore. but as a customer this was a huge let down.
If you get this gun lets just say you get what you payed for.
upgrade the hop up assembly bucking and nub and get a tight bore.
regular maintenance needed just like a real gun. just put silicon grease in all the internal moving parts and O-rings
Neat little gun. I personally didn't like the handguard and stock that came with the gun, so I ordered a Magpul handguard and the Battlelink Minimalist stock. Both fit on the gun fine, albeit a bit of difficulty getting the stock on... Shot through about 15-20 mags now, and the gun only jammed once but that was due to a mistake on my part (loading a mag with no gas in and continuously cocking the gun)
The pistol grip may also need to be upgraded, it is rather uncomfortable to hold. I'll be ordering the magpul one with my next order. The mags run out pretty quick, but that is expected... they only hold 30 +1 rounds each. They hold a TON of propane though, probably enough to shoot through 2 or 3 magazines. I bought 3, but I still run through them pretty quick. You probably need 6 mags total to play field. Lastly, it is closed bolt... the bolt does lock back when the BB's run out, but not all the way.
Note: this is a GBB gun in an AEG body... screws will shake loose! This is no KWA. The build quality is fine but the gun lacks the real steel trademarks, and as far as I know the ability to take down like a real M4.
Also note: this gun shoots extremely hard... I've been shooting .20's, and they swerve off to the side almost every time. I'd recommend using .25's or above.
Overall, I give the gun a 4/5.
Pros:
- loud, lots of recoil
- Accurate with .25's +
- Internally sturdy... externally, it could have been improved but then again its only $160... see cons.
- Sounds great!
- Just about as heavy as a real M4 with the mag in.
- Looks pretty cool, even cooler with magpul furniture :)
Cons:
- Some screws will shake loose after time, this gun has heavy recoil! Just be sure to properly maintain the gun, treat it like you would a real firearm if you want it to last.
- Cheap handguard, stock, pistol grip. Easily replaced with $100.
- Inability to remove front triangle sight
- Too hot for CQB, but this can be remedied by using "duster gas", just buy the AI GunGas kit. Its only $20.

Rail?
The rifle shown in one of the video has rails, while the one in the product image does not. Is the video showing an after-the-fact modification, or am I totally missing something?
