The AMP 3x Magnifier Ver.2 is perfect for the operator that is looking to run a unmagnified red dot but still have the option for magnification if needed. This magnifier does not feature a reticle and must be used in conjunction with a red dot optic. The AMP 3x Magnifier Ver.2 features a extremely high build quality that lends itself to a crisp and clear picture. In conjunction with the flip to the side mount, this mount is able to be attached to any standard picatinny rail system via a clamp style system. To aid the user in disengaging the magnification on the fly, this mount is able to be quickly flipped to the side to allow unblocked vision of your red dot. This mount is made of high quality materials which lends it to be very sturdy even under rigorous conditions.

This scope is almost only for the cool factor in my opinion, half the time in airsoft you don't need a zoom past x2 or even x1.5 will suffice.
I tried this scope on a replica EOTECH 557 and the 557 was 1cm too high for this, thus causing blurriness. On my replica EOTECH 552 it was a perfect fit as it sits lower onto the receiver.
The BEST so far and I am the BEST was my replica SRS scope, yes the new massive solar powered Trijicon scope that has an amazing viewport, end fanboy, but this scope height actually locks together with the end of this magnifier for almost 0 light between the two and magnifies the red dot with 0 blurriness.
If you plan to run this magnifier outdoors make sure you airtight the lens with Loctite or some sealing solution as kicked dust will get into the scope from where you adjust your + and -, and pretty much ruin a good magnifier, with a risk of breaking when taking apart the product to remove the dust.
Also be aware that after running around with this product the glue along the edges of the outer lens will develop jagged edges, this does not affect the overall zoom, but you won't have a perfect circular viewport.
Pros:
- Looks like a CoD or Battlefield thing
- Works well for scouting people from far away
- With my red dot it is dead on and encloses straight into the back
Cons:
- Not Air Tight, Dust will get inside & make the lens blurry from the inside
- Does not work for all red dots
- Lens gets an odd glue pattern around the edges

Inversely - compatibility with high-profile scopes
Inversely to low-profile scopes, what would be the compatibility with higher profile scopes, such as cantilever-mounted red dot sights (Swiss Arms 30mm, AMP Red/Green, Lancer Tactical Red/Green, ETC)

Staff Answer:
This magnifier will work solely with red dots and other sights that are higher mounted, as the flip magnifier mount raises the magnifier. 3279 days ago 0

Or will i have to purchase a riser mount, and if so what height?

Staff Answer:
This scope must be used in conjunction with a higher profile red dot sight. A 3/4" riser should be enough to allow most tube style red dots to cowitness. Eye Relief?
What is the eye relief distance for this magnifier? I've used another brand that had a really close relief and that's kind of uncomfortable.
