The UK Arms M9 8946 Spring Pistol Airsoft Gun is constructed from plastic that keeps the weight down but is not as durable as its high end metal counter part. The UK Arms M9 8946 is operated by racking the slide which cocks the spring for a single shot. The spring system used in this gun allows it to be very affordable, however it is not skirmishable or realistic. The UK Arms M9 8946 has realistic features such as realistic sights, slide cocking serrations, textured grip and magazine release. Despite the realistic features, the UK Arms M9 8946 leaves much to be desired in the authenticity department.
Although the UK Arms M9 8946 may be adequate for a display piece or prop, there are much better options for skirmishable airsoft guns that are still affordable. A spring shotgun such as the AGM Full Stock Spring Shotgun Airsoft Gun which comes in at only $29.99 features a much more realistic action as well as a much higher build quality. For a $45 more you can purchase a very reliable and skirmishable shotgun such as the Fire Power Multi-Shot Spring Shotgun
which features a very durable polymer body as well as 3 shot burst to better replicate a shotgun. Although, if you are set on purchasing a high quality M9 style hand gun then you should save up a purchase a Gas blow back handgun, GBB airsoft guns are the most realistic guns you can buy. The WE Full Metal M9 is a extremely realistic gun that performs great, you can check it out here, WE Full Metal M9 MEU Airsoft Gun
As previously stated, this gun is not field ready due to its low performance. Although due to its realistic look and features, this gun is a great choice for use in film productions or as a great display piece. Please do not expect to be able to compete with high quality airsoft guns while using this low cost airsoft gun. This gun is not serviceable and does not come with a warranty of any kind.

I bought a metal version of this gun about last year and let me say, it will last a couple drops and is perfectly solid on the inside, no internals have broke. I did however lose the piece holding the slide and grip together so i had to jury rig it with some wire and duct tape. For looks its good, for a film prop its perfect, but for actual airsofting dont think about it, for wars it would work fine
None beside the paint that chips off every once in a while on the grip and safety
