I use to use a UTG style vest. This was the best upgrade, vest wise, I chose. It cost a bit more to build, but I rather have quality and customization over price.
Pros:
-Basically the sky is the limit with this rig. A lot of different possibilities!
-Light weight!
-NO CRAPPY ZIPPERS THAT BREAK OR FALL OFF!
-Removable dividers to fit AK mags.
-Easy to put on and take off with just on buckle!
Cons:
The only real con about this rig is that, you will literally sit for a while, thinking about how you want to set it up.
This MOLLE setup, although sufficient to carry a few magazines and bear a minimal load, leaves a lot to be desired, and after prolonged use, I feel that its strongpoint as a product is its low price tag. What this vest does well: It is durable and tug-proof. I have played perhaps ten or twelve two-hour games with this vest and there is no tearing on any of its appendages. It also holds plenty of magazines and has a good amount of MOLLE estate, as well as an unobtrusive shoulder strap. Unfortunately, it has numerous problems that outweigh its virtues. Its magazine apparatus might as well be replaced since it's a noisy nightmare of velcro that is worse even than a big velcro pouch concerning ergonomics. I am by no means a skinny buy and at its tightest setting, this vest jostles FAR too much when I run. The shoulder straps must be adjusted out of the box unless you're 8'4", and the subsequent exposure of rough velcro will leave rashes on your neck if you don't cover up during gameplay. The MOLLE is less consistent on this vest and frequently I've had problems attaching pieces of gear to places I want, and I've had to resort to knifing open certain MOLLE slots to allow for wider straps to fit down them. All in all, this vest is a cheap intro to MOLLE and a good way to store a ton of mags, however its comfort level and design leave a lot to be desired. Only buy this if you have a good reason NOT to buy your other choices.
Pros:
Strong Denier
High Magazine Capacity
Light
Cons:
Loose
Itchy
Magazine Pouches are integrated but a pain to use and listen to
Shoulders expose sharp velcro to neck regionÂ…
Poor fit without dramatic adjustmentÂ…
