[P07B01][05742 / CM050]New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.
If you are looking for an airsoft gun that competes with the CYMA AEGs, you should check out E&L , LCT, and the Lancer Tactical Stamp Steel Line!
Description:
The CM050 is an excellent airsoft reproduction of the AK-47 manufactured by Cyma. Cyma has many standard features on their guns that would be considered upgrades from other companies. For example the receiver, receiver cover, and barrel assembly are full metal. The hand guard is real wood, has an integrated vertical grip, and has a very nice finish to it. For added authenticity the CM050 blows back. Like many other AKs the CM050 includes a 600 round high capacity magazine. The hi-cap magazine and the ability to take a very long stick battery in the receiver will give you an incredible advantage in any skirmish.

The guns is fantastic, with the metal and wood components to it. It feels very well built and very sturdy. Overall a great gun, however unfortunately the one I got happened to be a bad apple as about a week has passed the gears jammed up and I tried to unjam them and I did but still didn't work.
Pros:
The metal and wood components
The blowback
The overall feel of the gun and stability
Cons:
The gearbox for me was utter shit for some reason, it was shooting perfectly fine and then just stopped and my batter was charged
This gun is fantastic! Fired about 50- 60 rounds no problem. It is very well made and has solid construction and an awesome look. I did write a review before but discard it since i just got a lemon or a s***** used one not sure, but this one was definitely brand new and look and felt ready to shoot.
Pros:
The metal construction is good
the wood is nice for the price
the blowback is good feature
The price is good
Shoots hard and accurate
Cons:
Not much now to think of it the only thing is the from sight a tad loose other than that this gun works great and I'm glad I got a brand new one.
This was my first airsoft gun, I've had this weapon for about 2 years now and she is still holding strong. Her wiring has taken a beating and still functions; I've soldered it twice and still functions perfectly. This gun has played in the hot hot south and the freezing cold of the north in the snow. She's performed perfectly in the heavy rains the cajun south has to offer, as well as outclassing my battle buddies in the North Dakota winter where the cold was affecting their FPS, while this AKM only suffered from a ROF decrease. This weapon is just like a real AK; it just keeps on chugging.
I suppose the only real problem this gun has met is that the gear box locks up now and then. It happened once (can't remember what was the cause of the first gearbox lockup), and now most times when the receiver takes a blow to any solid object, the gearbox will lock up. Although this happens less frequently than it sounds. So I just bring a flat head and phillips screwdriver with me to games and fix it if it happens. No biggie.
Also if you don't like a lot of hopup, then you might be frustrated. With the stock hopup, even having it adjusted all the way down, there's still a lot of spin.
I do recommend gluing or taping some rubber to the ends of the magazines so you don't eat the finish away on the pistol grip on the hand guard when reloading.
Pros:
- Very reliable
- Can take all sorts of weather
- Folding stock that doesn't get in the way of the selector or the optic rail
- Built in pistol grip
- Rather unique among AK users
- Decent wood furniture
- Dust cover feels like it's a better metal than that on my real steel WASR
- Kinetic blow back (can be disabled without breaking into the gearbox)
Cons:
- A bit hot. Mine shoots 405fps with .20 consistently
- Stock hopup adjusts from a lot of spin to a ton of spin
- Would be difficult to put a metal muzzle device on; unlike real AKs, the muzzle device retainer tab does not have a spring in it and will not move.
- Rear sight leaf gets loose after awhile
- Gas block, rear iron sight block, and front sight post are all made of cheap pot metal and can break
- Crappy wood finish (although this is not uncommon among airsoft guns around this price range)

.25 works best in mine. Lowers the FPS to a cooler speed as well as aligns the iron sights better with where the bbs hit.

Roughly seven pounds. Similar to a real steel AKM's weight.

Is the battery mounted in the upper receiver?
I'm just curious, because the battery shown in the picture shows a 4x4 battery as apposed to the stick in the Accessory section.

Is the front handguard removable?
I have seen many reviews on the quality of the wood handguard and was wondering if the handguard is removable and if a standard ak47 handguard would fit on this gun.
