Battery Information Video
New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.

The PTS Masada Streamline Version (SV) is the economy model of the PTS Masada. Various changes were made to the version of the Masada: The polymer components of the rifle are produced from a non-proprietary standard commercial grade polymer. The front and rear PTS MBUS sight has been omitted and the PTS PMAG 120rd Mid-cap has been replaced with a 75 round ABS plastic made PMAG. These changes allow PTS to bring a high quality but more competitively priced streamlined version of the Airsoft Masada.

The PTS Masada is the airsoft gun release of the century. There is much controversy surrounding this gun with the the video game community and the common/uncommon features it has with the Bushmaster ACR. Nevertheless, Magpul PTS have worked tirelessly to produce this gun as acurately as possible to the real thing, and they have done just that. The upper features a continuous top rail so the shooter can mount their choice of optics anywhere they want along the rail depending on their mission. The controls on the gun like the magazine release, charging handle release and the fire selector are all ambidextrous. The fixed carbine stock is designed similar to the CTR stock in that it has a void in it to act like a handle, perfect for grabbing your gun on the go. The stock may not be adjustable for length but the built in cheek rest is adjustable for height to provide a comfortable cheek weld for different types of optics. One would need many types of optics on hand depending on their mission because the Masada has a quick change barrel system that allows it to be shortened or extended depending on the mission criteria. The barrel can be removed in a matter of seconds with no tools required. Magpul PTS did not just make an externally functional and aesthetically pleasing AEG, but they constructed the internals terrifically to match the awesome exterior.

The Magpuls PTS Masada can be disassembled in a matter of minutes, down to the gearbox. The gearbox is a unique version 2 with a motor cage designed to keep the motor pinion gear in line with the bevel gear at all times. This gearbox also has a quick change spring function that will allow the user to change their muzzle velocity on the fly with minimal tools. The old school trigger contact assembly has been replaced with an electronic micro switch system to reduce arcing and prolong the life of the gun. The gears are kept in line with 8mm solid metal bushings; however the bevel gear has been given an 8mm ball bearing since it spins much faster relative to the other two gears. Magpul PTS have engineered the best airsoft gun the world has seen to this day. It's lightweight, performs well, and is built to last. The deconstruction of this gun is simple and requires little tools, a technician's utopia. The muzzle velocity can be changed in a matter of seconds, perfect for players that play in a variety of environments with different FPS limits. No other airsoft gun has the great features the Masada has that both enhance performance and are convenient for the owner.

When it comes to training and simulation, PTS is the real deal. Made to feel and function like in-theater tested Magpul components, airsoft compatible PTS accessories offer the most authentic experience possible. Since 2007, PTS has been the world-wide exclusive license of Magpul making it ideally suited for realistic practice drills and scenario training. PTS accessories even make for a more lifelike sporting experience. Nothing else handles like PTS because nothing else is made like PTS, guaranteed.

Product Information:
I was originally going to buy the $480 non SV version but it went out of stock. I purchased this instead and couldn't be more happy with it. I've since but another $150 into the gun and am even happier with it. Mine clocked in at 407FPS which is a little too high for the fields around me but that's what aftermarket springs are for! It's very comfortable and you get a lot of looks when your out and about playing, I get compliments all the time on it. Chagning the spring and breaking down the gun is a piece of cake as well even for someone new to airsoft. I would HIGHLY recmmond this to anyone who wants an ACR or even just and M4.

Pros:
407FPS out of the box
Awesome rate of fire
Micro-switch trigger
Comfortable
Ajustable Stcok
Metal body
Quick change spring system
Easy break down (even for an airsoft noob like myself!)
You can use whatever mags you want, havent found one that won't fit yet
Polymer handguard, lower reciever, and stock are very good quality
Not an M4

Cons:
Getting the battery in is a little tricky
75rd ABS plastic PMAG provided broke after only 2 uses
Huge orange flash hider
Heavy (pro or con)
Extra parts are expensive (magpul always is!)

Product Information:
I was so excited to get this gun. When I got it, I had a couple of issues with the hop up unit, but the ASGI team was very professional about taking it back and fixing the problem. When I got it back the second time it shot great, it had a fast rate of fire and was shooting close to 380 fps, much better than it said it would shoot. On top of that it was really accurate and looks incredible. Overall as a first time customer for ASGI i was really pleased with their service and with the quality of the gun.

Pros:
aesthetics
rof
accuracy
fps
quick change barrel
easy disassembly

Cons:
mag capacity. I personally prefer high caps so i just got a gen 2 high cap pmag and it used the one they gave me as a back up.

Product Information:
I have had this gun for a while now. I have used it in some small games, and a couple big games (one of them being broken home 3). That being said, I have become rather familiar with the masada. The gun comes packaged well, in fact better than any other gun that I have bought. The stock pmag that comes with it works well. The manual is also helpful in becoming familiar with the features of the gun. Externally, the gun is great. Even though the sv doesn't come with magpul's proprietary polymer parts, the polymer parts that the sv does come with are fantastic (incredible sturdy and well put together). I fell in love with the fixed stock quickly. At first you might be apprehensive, but it feels great on the shoulder. The battery installs easy when you pull off the handguard. The ambidextrous features (mag release, bolt release, fire selector) are all very nice. The quick change barrel system is nice, and makes it really easy to change out the bucking (*make sure you turn the hop-up all the off before removing the barrel or else you will damage the bucking). On that note, breaking the gun apart is easy also. There is one exception to this though. The hop up is a tremendous pain to get out as magpul decided (for some strange reason) that they had to use roll pins to hold the trunion in place, and these roll pins are rather difficult to remove, especially if you don't have the right size of punch. The stock hop up is garbage and will require work to make this gun work properly. The reason being that magpul came up up with the worst kind of nub design (a figure 8 nub that is hollow on one side so that the nub gets squished when a bb gets loaded in the chamber). The problem is compounded by the necessity of proprietary parts for the hop up. I had to purchase an aftermarket hop up arm and nub to make the masada's hop up work properly, or else I was only getting a maximum of 80 to one hundred feet stock (this feature is shared by the sv and the pts as they are the same internally). The stock bucking could be switched out also as it really isn't anything special. The trigger system has good response, but will lock the gearbox up on semi auto if you don't pull the trigger completely back each time. The quick change spring is also a nice feature. The gun is also kind of picky on magazines. It takes kwa mid caps, but not elite force mid caps. Pmags work well in it. The orange flash hider is a pain (no pin, but soft plastic and a lot of glue made me melt the thing off the barrel). I would reccomend this gun over the higher priced versions as the only differences are that you get a slightly lower quality mag, the sv doesn't come with iron sights, and the polymer is slightly lower quality (none of these things constitutes the serious price gap between the two versions).

Overall, the gun is good, but it requires some work right out of the box to fix some bad manufacturer choices in regards to the hop up. Once you fix the hop up issues, the gun performs well.

Pros:
-Build quality is superb
-good stock fps (mine is around 390)
-very modular (magpul makes parts that you can swap out on the masada. Even a system to covert the aeg over to a gbb)
-ambidextrous features and quick change features make the gun very convertible
-rate of fire is good out of the box ( I wouldn't recommend an 11.1 lipo as the gearbox seems to be good, but probably couldn't hold up to that battery)
-trigger response is good
-lost of rail space for your own sights
-the stock barrel is actually a 6.04 so that's pretty good all things considered
-the gun is a looker, very sexy
-the weight and size are just right
-the bolt locks back and releases with a satisfying metallic clack

Cons:
-hop up is bad right out of the box, will require work to make the masada into a good field gun
-the magpul replacement parts, external or internal, tend to be pricey and out of stock a lot (the rail and barrel kits tend to go for over one hundred dollars each which is kind of ridiculous)
-gearbox locks up on semi auto with short trigger pulls (fix by switching to full auto, firing, then switching back)
-the hop up is the one part that is difficult to take out of the gun (which is kind of ironic since its the first thing that requires work)
-the orange tip is difficult to take off (soft plastic and a lot of glue don't mix well)
-kind of picky on magazines (pmags and pmag clones tend to work the better than traditional m4 looking magazines)

Staff Answer:
Unfortunately there is no way to make a gun truly 11.1 LiPo ready, since guns have mechanical parts, it is only a matter of time before they will break while using an 11.1.
