The new G&G GR-16 Carbine Ver. 3 is everything you could want from your M4 and more. G&G stock externals are of better quality and more aesthetically pleasing that most after market upgrade parts. Th GR-16 features a full metal body and gearbox. One piece metal barrel that is securely fastened to the upper receiver. The retractable LE stock is made of a hard, durable abs plastic. The removable carry handle is metal with full adjustable rear iron sight. G&G tastefully etched their logo, model, and serial number on the mag well. Plus, the GR-16 comes with something no other M4 does, a sling adapter in front of the buffer tube just behind the body. Therefor the user has a choice if they want their sling attached to the end of their stock of if they want it closer to the body. G&G is on their way to setting a new precedent of top quality AEGs.

I recieved this gun a few weeks ago, and I really like it. When I first got it, I opened the box to find that the gun didn't come with a battery. I thought it did because I read some reviews about the gun and some talked about the battery, so I thought it came with one. A week later I got the Intellect 9.6v 1600mah nunchuck battery and a smart charger. I put in the battery after it was charged, and I pulled the trigger to see how it sounded. Nothing. Not a single noise. I thought I blew the fuse, so I tried to fix it but no matter what it wouldn't work, so i sent it in for warrenty.
Airsoft GI confirmed that it was defective, and sent me a new one. When I got the new gun, I was blown away by how high the rof was. I love how it sounds when you shoot the gun.
When I first shot the gun, the accuracy was terrible. But the next day it was shooting very accurately. Once it was "broken in" i fell in love with it. It feels great holding it. The metal body is very sturdy and hard to scratch. It looks amazing too. I took it to the first war of my life and I used .25g bbs. I was amazed by the accuracy with the tsd tactical .25s. It did a great job. Overall an amazing AEG.
-fps is good for cqb
-no problems since i recieved it
-weight is not to heavy or light
none for me

This is by far the best performance for your money M4 variant on the market. Iíve owned it for approx 2 months and have put 10,000+ rounds through it with out a drop in performance. Itís superbly accurate with a 6.01mm tightbore. It has an effective range of 110-130ft max. That figure is using Golden Ball .25ís. It could potentially have a longer range if .2ís were used but I have yet to test them. Also it has a ported cylinder so the volume of air that can be compressed is less than with a full cylinder, thus hindering its effective range and velocity. However the port does allow for the piston to bleed off air resistance as it cycles forward, thus increasing the ROF slightly. The ASGI chrono sheet claimed 350fps. I can reasonably assume that with the 6.01mm tight bore it puts it up around 370fps using .2ís.
There were 2 characteristics that I found to be more of a nuisance than an actual flaw. The first being the dust cover/ejection port has to be held open when adjusting hop-up. I assume that this was intentional being that the hop-up unitís gears are very stiff and hold itís position very well so one wouldnít need to adjust the hop-up as frequent. The second characteristic is that the triangle sight on the gun was loose. Itís an easy fix just time consuming lining up the sight then tightening it down. This occurred with both of my GR-16ís.
The magazine wobble was intended so that the GR-16's could accommodate the wide array of M4/M16 magazines. It's easily remedied by placing a couple of strips of electrical tapes on the sides and front of the magwell.
Great Value ($260 value as of June 2010)
Great External Build (6061 Aluminum making a very sturdy platform) Older models had lighter Magnesium bodies but these were prone to crack.
Great Paintjob (Anodized and Powder coated for a very scratch resistant finish)
Great Accuracy (with 6.01mm tightbore)
Good Range ( 110-130ft with .25ís, 6.01mm tight bore, stock gearbox internals, 363mm barrel length, and ported piston).
Good ROF (approx 950-1000 rounds per minute using an Intellect 9.6V Nunchuck)
Great Hop-up Unit and Bucking (Works Perfectly and stays ďzeroedĒ.
Great Reliability (So far. Iíll update it when/if I encounter problems).
Dust Cover/Ejection Port (Makes changing hop-up a slower process)
Front Triangle Sight ( Was loose when I received it on both of my GR-16ís)

I was at an airsoft game this weekend and one of the guys there had this gun. I got to fire about a full clip out of it and was really impressed. The gun is very sturdy and full metal, offcorse the front grip, grip, and stock are plastic just like a real m4 so it is still full metal! Anyways the rof is good, nothing to great but the guy had a low grade 8.4 volt in it so it could be alot higher. The gun was very accurate at 150 feet and the gun was chronoing at 400fps. The gun didn't weigh alot when I held it and felt like I could snap it in have but it is as solid as a rock even though it weighs so little. I am planning on getting this gun and looking forward to it to. Over all a great m4, one of the nicest I've ever shot, and would compare it to a kwa without a doubt. If your looking for a reliable m4 for a decent price, this is the gun for you.
Full Metal Construction
450rd Hi Cap Magazine
Light weight, good be a good or bad thing
The only con I had with the gun was that the magazine wobbled alot in the magwell but a few layers of electrical tape around the top would stop that.
