New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.

Since ICS founder and CEO Mr. Chu entered the airsoft replica market in 1995, ICS was the first AEG company specialized in designing and manufacturing in Taiwan and was the 3rd of its kind worldwide. As a professional AEG brand, "High innovation, High efficiency, and High quality" is the principle of their enterprise, and ICS insists in accepting no defective part from the factories, making no mistake on the production line, and releasing no defective product to the market.

The ICS Full Metal M4 CQBR Airsoft Gun is a terrific addition to ICS's Pro-Line series of AEGs. This gun features ICS' famous split version 2 gearbox which allows the user to split the upper and lower receiver just like the real thing. Also, the forward assist functions to reduce gearbox pressure by releasing the anti-reversal latch so the spring can decompress, a feature not commonly found on airsoft guns. This is a full metal airsoft gun, which means that anything that is metal on real one is also metal on this gun. The adjustable crane stock can be set to the user's comfort and to house the battery for the gun, hiding the wires. This crane stock is very unique, it can only house the ICS Crane Stock Battery that is made for this gun; the contact for the battery is not made with the traditional tamiya connector but with a contact plate built into the stock. This stock set up ensures that no wires impede the movement of the stock, you will always be able to adjust the stock all the way across it's movement spectrum. The rail system provides an excellent platform for performance enhancing accessories like the included vertical grip or flashlight. Additionally they give you 1000 rounds in .20g BBs in a convenient easy-pour bottle. This is an excellent airsoft gun for the avid player or tactical trainer.

Product Information:
I purchased this gun recently it is a very solid AEG. I have owned several "high end" AEGs from several different companies but I always come back to ICS. This gun has all the standard ICS M4 features but has some excellent improvements over previous models. The delta ring is an improved design from the old ICS delta rings. On my first ICS the delta ring was so weak that it was unusable. The battery would just fall out of the handguards. This new design is a lot stiffer and makes for a very solid gun with no barrel wobble. The RIS is also suprisingly high quality since ICS is notorious for saving money on their gun furniture. The new crane stock design is the best feature of this gun. Although you have to use the ICS brand battery it is definately worth the money as you can actually collapse the crane stock without fear of the wires bunching up. It is a great design and is far superior to G&G or G&P crane stocks. Just FYI you could modify the crane stock to use standard crane stock batteries but it would require a little rewiring. The only complaint I have about the crane stock is to remove/install the battery you have to loosen two philips head screws on the butt plate. This is kinda a pain but all in all not that big a deal. The stock flash hider is plastic and is glued on. There is also a hex screw on the bottom of the flash hider that locks the flash hider on. Once again this is a minor complaint it just requires a little more effort to remove and replace it. All in all this is a great gun. I would rank it a 9 out of 10.

Pros:
ICS!
Split gear box design
Functional forward assist (decompresses spring)
Improved delta ring design (although still not as good as G&P)
Excellent crane stock/battery design
Comes with two high caps
Full metal body and RIS

Cons:
Removing/Installing battery is a little tedious (minor complaint)
Removing the flash hider is difficult
"ICS Tactical Carbine" trades
No rear sling plate

Product Information:
I picked up this model a while back, as I intended it to be a nice "all around" gun that I can use on the field and when clearing buildings. It suits that purpose fairly well, but definitely lacks the range needed for open field play.

I've also noted that the battery (which is the only battery this gun can take) is more readily available on eBay and certain other retailers for about $30. Also, you'll need a screwdriver to change the battery out, so make sure to include a multitool in your kit.

Pros:
ICS Hop-up system works very well.
Nice metal body with no receiver rattle.
Spring de-tensioner is a nice touch.
Feeds nicely from almost every midcap I've put in it.

Cons:
Selector switch does not lock into place well. Your gear will move it.
Magazine release is very shallow and hard to index.
RIS has some play, as the delta ring spring is a little weak.

Product Information:
Purchased this gun on Monday last week, got 3 day shipping, and received it on Thursday last week. Then, this weekend, I took it out for its inaugural run after having it re-wired from the battery contacts system to Deans (very easy to do).

My thoughts? It's a solid gun, and definitely one of the best M4s I have personally bought. It's not perfect, but it's definitely a top contender in the full metal M4 CQBR class for the price range. The split gearbox design is probably my favorite thing about this gun and the excellent hop up unit made it a good, though not quite great, stock performer in the accuracy and range department. The gun does suffer some hop up inconsistency due to having a very soft bucking and nub, and in my opinion spending a few dollars on a G&G bucking an Echo 1 H nub is definitely worth it. The stock inner barrel isn't a tightbore unfortunately, but it is very consistent and well made so I can't detract too many points there.

The quality of the gearbox internals was very impressive to me as well. The gun has a polished stainless steel cylinder and a metal core spring guide along with what look to be good quality polycarbonate components that include the piston, piston head, cylinder head, tappet plate, and air nozzle. The consistent velocity of 340-350 FPS with .2g BBs leads me to believe the gun has good compression on a stock M100 or similar spring. The shimming on the gears appears to be quite good as well and the inclusion of the ICS Turbo 3000 motor gives the AEG snappy trigger response and a good rate of fire of about 16-18 RPS on a 7.4V 15C buffer tube LiPo. I immediately swapped from the contact system in the stock to Deans connectors, so I can't comment on how it performs running the ICS proprietary battery.

The externals on this gun are good, but not great. The fore end has a small amount of play, nothing unusual for an M4 CQBR, but not something you see on the greats like VFC or G&P. The rails accepted a Bravo M900 clone and a UTG QD optic no problem though and tightening the delta ring assembly and the set screws on the barrel and front sight helped the flex in the barrel, but the rails still have some wobble. The fact the gun comes with a plastic orange tip was a bit disappointing, but a Madbull Noveske Fire Pig amplifier cleaned the look right up no problem. The receivers mate solidly though and everything has a good finish so the externals get a firm pass from me.

So overall, I'd say it's a good gun for the money. Who I would most recommend this gun to is to someone like me who plans to tweak it, because ICS guns are great tweaker platforms. Since fielding it, I installed a Madbull 6.03mm tightbore barrel, a G&G bucking, and an Echo 1 H nub and I plan on using this gun as a base to build multiple upper receivers for CQB, DMR, and field use. That plan made this gun the only logical choice and after fielding it stock, I am very excited to see where I can take it. So whether you want to run it with just a couple tweaks or if you want to overhaul it, I'd say this gun is a great platform.

Pros:
-Good upgrade platform.
-Split gearbox makes for versatile platform.
-Spring decompression feature is always welcome.
-ICS Turbo 3000 motor included.
-Excellent hop up unit.
-Quality of gearbox parts is quite good.
-Rails fit accessories well.
-Easy to convert to standard connectors from proprietary contacts.
-Mostly solid externals and good finishing.
-Easy to remove orange flash hider.
-Rear of crane stock held on with screws, won't pop off mid-game, but you should have a multi-tool in your kit.

Cons:
-Fore end and stock wobble and rattle.
-Stock hop up bucking and nub are not great.
-Orange plastic flash hider cheapens look and needs replacing.
-Buffer tube is short for running buffer tube LiPos, cannot fully collapse stock.
-If converting to standard connector from contacts, wires are short, may need extension.
