KWA Full Metal KM4 A1 AEG Airsoft Gun
[Q11D00][20926 / 104-01010]New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.
Description:
KWA is a well known airsoft manufacturer that has been creating high quality airsoft guns for some time. From airsoft electric guns to gas blow back airsoft guns, Engineered to Outperform, defines the quality of their products. Externally, the material they use is designed to withhold a serious amount of stress giving the gun the utmost durability. Internally, the parts used in their airsoft guns are matched to the highest degree for the smoothest operation over long periods of operation. Overall, their product truly performs on the field, KWA products stick to their motto, Engineered to Outperform.
The KWA Full Metal M4A1 is astounding! At first glance it looks just like any other M4, but once the gun is plugged into a lithium polymer battery pack it becomes a whole new machine. KWA is traditionally known for their M series gas blow back pistols, then they came out with their G36 and it was ok; but now their latest AEG has completely blown away the staff here at Airsoft GI. On the outside it looks like another M4, but on the inside is where you see the brilliance of the engineering. The trigger switch is made of good quality plastic and the wires are carefully soldered to the connectors. The reinforced sector and bevel gears spin very freely on the 9mm ball bearings. The piston is also reinforced on the back teeth, as is the front of the version 2 gearbox. The overall quality of the rest of that parts is fantastic. KWA claimed to be making an AEG that is LiPo ready and they have surely done it.

I bought this last week and took it to my weekly airsoft game. It performed beautifully. The hop up was totally responsive to the slightest of adjustments, the rate of fire was great with a 9.7 volt battery, and it's built to be able to run an 11.1 v 15c lipo according to the note that came in the box. The accuracy was great with the stock barrel, and the feel is nice and heavy, being full metal. The k120 it comes with is a great magazine, and is the only type I use anymore. It was clocking in at 365 fps with .25 gram bb's. All in all, this is the best field gun I've ever owned. I'll be using it every week.
Pros:
Great rof
Durable
Great fps with .25s
Accurate
Durable
Full metal
Lipo ready
Perfect for outdoor use
Cons:
None that I've seen.
Have only used this once so far at a full day scenario and was very happy in the performance. First time I shot it was at the field where it was chronographed at 415 FPS with 20's, a little hot. I had to shoot through about 1500 rounds before it dropped down to 405 FPS before they would let me in. Guessing it will settle down in the upper 300s. Ran a 11 V three cell and shot Kwa 25's all day. Accuracy was very good and I didn't even need to touch the hop up. Does have a nice heft to it and as such was thankful for my sling towards the end of the day. Trigger was pretty responsive and has a decent feel. All in all I'm quite happy with it and for the money you can't really beat it.
Pros:
Great for the money
Cons:
Gets heavy, but you can take it.

Battery (Help)
I am fairly new to airsoft and I really want this gun but I don't know much about batteries. What voltage and type battery would be best for this gun? What smart charger? Thanks

It runs a 15c 11.1 lipo specifically. Any greater c rating would be too much.

it said it is lipo ready so a 11.1 lipo battery should work, but i personally like to use 9.6v batteries (mine's 1600) and yes get any smart charger that is compatible with whatever battery you choose.

The outer is most likely like the CQR basically a 2 piece to streamline production for the shorty version, but dont worry it wont come apart very easily :)
