The CYMA CM045A Full Metal AKS 74 UN is an excellent reproduction of its authentic counterpart. This A.E.G. comes standard full metal with a metal receiver, receiver cover, side folding stock, and barrel assembly. The compact size and a 600 round high capacity magazine make this gun a powerhouse in CQB. The side mounting plate allows this airsoft gun to accept AK style scopes and accessories. The CYMA CM045A AKS-74UN is a excellent replica for a fraction of the price of its high end counter parts.

I have owned the CM045A for several years now, and it has been a great little shooter. It isn't as accurate as some other AEG's I have used in the past, but it does well enough as a mid-range/CQB rifle. Due to its small size, the CM045A is a pleasure to use when running and gunning in a closed in or obstructed environment. The main negatives I have found both involve the battery-hatch area of the gun. Firstly, the rear iron sight is welded on at an angle, rendering the sights unusable. I understand that this is a common factory error on this model. The second issue is the spring pin that keeps the battery hatch closed popped loose during a game. I now have to keep it shut with an industrial rubber band.
Feels great and has a nice balance.
A reliable shooter.
Great battery life.
If target is over 80-100ft away, accuracy becomes an issue.
The rear sight is welded on off-canter. Makes iron sights useless.
Shoddy battery hatch button

H. PAUL verified buyer
bought this gun a few months back, charged the batterys and shot it- stopped firing after about 5 shots so i figured the batterys needed more charge. charged battery again and the gun still wouldnt fire, so i contacted the company. Lo and behold by trying to charge the battery again, i went over the 48hour warranty time and thusly they refused to repair or replace my gun.
(airsoft GI was great though, they at least delivered the hunk of junk on time)
has a good feel to it, metal and wood are nice
doesnt actually work, still saving up the cash to get it repaired
(will give it a 2 until i actually get it to work and will review it again)

Recently Received The CM045A in the Mail. I was very impressed. The Rifles receiver is all steel, there are a few components on the gun made of pot metal such as the front sight. I shot this ak with .20g bbs at 100ft and got a good grouping of about 10 in an 6"X6" square and this was with very little hopup. Going to test it out with .23g and .25g bb and see if I can get some more accuracy . Airsoft GI tested it at 430fps. The ROF is pretty good with the stock battery at 700rds/min if you need it higher than that you need to be more proficient with the gun. The high cap mag is all plastic and many of the seams are not even closed, wish it had at least a metal high cap mag to go with the whole all metal look. Over All: Great gun for somebody on a budget that wants a Good compact AK for CQB.
Accurate at 50-100ft with .20g bb's
Very tight unit only a Little wobble in the top hand grip Solid as a Rock
Looks Like and feels like the real deal.
Still has some pot metal components (Front Sight)
Aluminum Threading on Barrel makes it Difficult to remove Flash Hide
Internal metal pieces are Poor Quality and easily Break
Plastic High Cap Mag made poorly
Rear Sling Attachment makes quite a bit of noise(tape It)
