The Umarex Walther P22 Spring Powered Pistol Airsoft Gun is constructed primarily from plastic that keeps the weight down but is not as durable as its high end metal counter part. The Umarex Walther P22 Spring Powered Pistol Airsoft Gun is operated by racking the slide which cocks the spring for a single shot. The spring system used in this gun allows it to be very affordable, however it is not skirmishable or realistic. The Umarex Walther P22 Spring Powered Pistol Airsoft Gun has realistic features such as realistic sights, slide cocking serrations, textured grip and magazine release. Despite the realistic features, the Umarex Walther P22 Spring Powered Pistol Airsoft Gun leaves much to be desired in the authenticity department.
Although theUmarex Walther P22 Spring Powered Pistol Airsoft Gun may be adequate for a display piece or prop, there are much better options that are still affordable. A spring shotgun such as the AGM Full Stock Spring Shotgun Airsoft Gun which comes in at only 29.99$ features a much more realistic action as well as a much higher build quality. For 41$ more you can purchase a very reliable and skirmishable shotgun such as the Fire Power Multi-Shot Spring Shotgun
which features a very durable polymer body as well as 3 shot burst to better replicate a shotgun.
As previously stated, this gun is not field ready due to its low performance. Although due to its realistic look and features, this gun is a great choice for use in film productions or as a great display piece. Please do not expect to be able to compete with high quality airsoft guns while using this low cost airsoft gun. This gun is not serviceable and does not include a warranty of any kind.
For: Umarex Walther P22 Spring Powered Pistol Airsoft Gun
My brother received this gun for Christmas awhile ago. Its a decent spring pistol and I would recommend it to someone who is just getting into airsoft and plays more backyard games with friends. Its all plastic but if taken care of the gun will last a long time. We have yet to have any issues with it breaking down on us but there are things here and there that make it just an ok gun.
Some pros are:
Good beginner gun
accurate and powerful compared to some spring pistols
light (if you are looking for a lighter gun)
Some cons are:
Light (if your looking for a heavier sturdy gun)
hop-up is a bit strong so the bullets will rise a bit before going down
there is a lever on the side of the gun that you can push up to keep the slid back. This lever sometimes will go up when cocking the gun back making it harder to cock the gun and fire at a faster rate.
