The Echo 1 M79 Grenade Launcher is a great stand alone granade launching system. The construction of the launcher is completely plastic, but don't let that deter you. The body is completely solid, the action of the trigger and barrel lock is smooth, as to be expected from Echo 1 and CAW. The launcher comes complete with one CAW M203 shell, all Classic Army, CAW, King Arms and Mad Bull grenade shells are compatible. Great realism, good weight, durable and a true collector and war gamer's item.

KK i have had this gun for almost and year and it is very impressive. I have used it in numerous skirmishes and it has yet to disappoint me. ill give a basic pro con list based off what i have done with it.
Pro's
*very intimidating on the field, when the other team saw what i had they got very worried.
*Good spray with the larger shells was able to pepper a group of four guys using a 219 shot shell.
*very easy to load once you get the hang of it
*pretty solid construction, only had one problem the stock was a wee bit wobbly so i just used some gorilla glue to fix that and it has been perfect since.
Cons
*The shell it came with wouldnt work at first, i had to take it apart and toy around with it after that it worked. its a very good shell once it works
*the safety broke on mine and i couldnt get the trigger to pull but it was easily fixed just took it apart and removed the safety bar.
As for shells if you get the larger ones get the CO2 adapter because just using green gas doesnt give it enough power behind it and it only lobs the bbs at the target.
For the money this is a good buy im sure that not all have the problems i did but they werent major problems, and they were fixed very easily.

My friend has one of these, and I can say that it is a piece of junk. I was using it in a game and the stock came off in my hands. The bolt that holds the stock on stripped out the threads in the gun, because the threads where you insert the bolt are plastic. The safety also broke and it was a mess. I have a CA M203 ris and it is much better quality than this, being that it has a metal body. Don't get this launcher.

Its a great wall hanger after it breaks

Product Information:
This is a pretty good launcher from CAW/E1.
The whole thing is plastic (the only metal parts are the trigger, safety, opening latch, sling mounts, and grenade ejector- basically all the things that need to be). The stock and grip are made out of a fairly solid, but shiny, abs plastic and the whole gun had a fairly visible seam line running down the center of the launcher. The barrel itself and the folding sights are a dull black plastic that looks exactly like its real steel counterpart (but hey, the real wood/steel CAW m79s barrel is also plastic, so you cant really get around it).
Some of the downsides of the plastic version of the CAW m79 is that the front sights do not lock like the real one (the button that locks the real ones sight up is non functional- instead the folding sights are spring loaded, but the spring is not strong enough to keep it from flipping around if it is slung around your back), nor do they adjust (the bar that adjusts distance is fixed at the 200m mark, and it gets real annoying having to estimate the distance because the sights do not do their job). Also, the lever that you push to the side to open and load the launcher does not lock when you open it, you have to hold it when you open and close the break action of the launcher. Also, the trigger guard does not fold to the side like the real one does, it is locked in place- so dont play with it or youll break it.
Now those reasons do not mean by any means that this is a bad launcher. Many people here have complained about the stock being loose, well that is BS because I have dropped this thing numerous times (once on pavement) and nothing has broken. Also, it has very nice sling mounts, sturdy, and wont rip off like the ones on some cheaper guns will. Along with that this m79 comes with a Moscart shell, which is VERY nice (better than Madbull), it holds 30 rounds and with .20s can reach out 90+ feet with a about 10-15 ft spread. I also advise getting more grenades with this thing, as it is fun as heck to shoot and they go quickly (get either Moscart(CAW) or Madbull grenade shells, NO other shells are worth your time and money).
In the long run this launcher does its job well, it may not have all the features of the real wood/metal CAW m79 but still gets the job done. (And trust me, the fear in your enemies eyes will make it worth it)
