The release of the SOCOM Gear Special Edition M1911has been highly anticipated by those that know what this pistol is. To the untrained eye it may look like just another 1911 but it is ,in fact, much more. The SOCOM Gear Special Edition 1911 features a full metal body, upgraded iron sights for easier aiming, front cocking serrations on the slide, comfortable/textured grips, and an ambidextrous safety for right and left handed users. Also for enhanced looks SOCOM Gear has added and engraved slide, lower frame and chamber; as well as a 3 hole trigger, skeleton hammer, and beaver tail. Finally, SOCOM Gear have included a hard carrying case, barrel extension, and pistol retention lanyard just to spice up the deal.

Great gun! Looks awesome! Feels awesome! And works awesome! Better yet, it is very gas efficient, I can get 2 mags of gas out of 1 fill easy! Very nice blow-back, easy to adjust hopup, and very simple to filedstrip. The silencer is great! The pistol lanyard looks and feels awesome but I don't know how useful it's gonna be. The case is a lot better quality than I expected, it's awesome. It all fits in there with my extra mag. Speaking of the mag. Since the bb follower is plastic, it's fragile. And since it needs a strong sting to push up the slide catch when your out of ammo, it breaks easy. So I cut one spring and left the other stock, therefore I have the first mag and when it runs out I'll know, but the second will keep dry firing but that doesn't matter because if I'm in enough trouble to pull out my secondary, and then use the extra mag, I won't have enough time left in the game to reload, let enough survive! Finally, performance wise. Great accuracy and fps for a pistol. Obviously doesn't compare to an AEG but you won't need it to. Also since it's full metal you can go trigger happy and have a good rate of fire without fear of breaking the gun. Great gun, GET IT!!!!

First off I don't know what SOCOM gear could have done better with this pistol. The guns weight is the same of a real M1911. The pistol itslef sounds great when the slide is pulled back.The three hole trigger looks great! The spring is longer than usual giving it a harder kick. The tan grips go great with the gun but I am most likely going to buy new ones for looks. Barrel extension looks great. The orange tip comes off fairly easily. Nice hammer spring tension makes it feel more real. The gun shoots great for me. All over very well built and designed gun.
