Product Information:
Very good steel. Parts are machined and high quality- looks very nice at a glance. The stock is also very high quality; it fits perfectly with the weapon and the shoulderpad that folds out of the A&K PKM stock. Has a nice solid feel and comes pre-lubricated.
However, designed this clearly didnt test it themselves. The carry handle welding is sloppy- it sits at an angle on the barrel of the weapon, something extremely noticeable when aiming down sights (and something that the Russian PKP most certainly does NOT do).
Furthermore, the bipod lug is installed straight up backwards. Removing the bipod from my PKM and installing it on the PKP has it locked in position in *front* of the barrel, rather than underneath it- trying to lock it in place under the barrel like its supposed to do has it just fall freely back into the down position. This is made worse by the fact that the bipod lug is machined into the forward sight itself- attempting to remove it can cause permanent damage to the forward sight and the muzzle brake.
Cool piece? Yeah. Worth $269 (the current sale price as of Dec. 30 2017)? No. I was going to purchase Raptors MP-443 Grach when it came out, but I do not trust the quality of their product. This item does not reflect well on their first foray into the airsoft market, nor does it reflect well on airsoft GI as a whole. I would not recommend this product at all- if you absolutely MUST have a PKP, be prepared to fix this things shortcomings straight out of the box.
(My piece also didnt come with directions, just the parts and a thank you card from airsoft GI. Im not concerned about this, just felt like I should include it in the review for any potential buyers. This is NOT for beginner airsofters, and will require quite a bit of maintenance to get into working order.)
