So when these first came on the scene I thought these were pretty cool. They are cheap and do ALMOST the same thing Ztacticals do. They work with a lot of PTT's surprisingly.
Now, when I first got them, started messing with and if you bend the headset the wrong way you pic up a frequency piercing sound. If you have you headset all the way to the loudest setting it could cause damage to your hearing. I recently used them in the game. Well you get what you pay for, the metal rods on the side that connect to the headset unit pushes into the side of your head and hurts. When people are talking it picks up one person and zooms on their talking and you cant hear anything else.
When I run my contour camera, with my Ztacticals I just put velcro on the side and slap my contour on no problems. With the Earmors, it puts a high frequency pitch in your ear.
Spend a little extra and get Ztacticals.
Pros:
- Cheap
- Amplifies Sound
- Works with most PTT's
- The cushion is actually comfortable on the ears
- Can switch mic of either side
Cons:
- Metal rods/bars that attach to headset dig into your head
- If tilted the wrong way you will get a high pitch frequency sound and it hurts the ears,
- Attaching anything metal, or any other electronic device to (such as the contour mentioned) causes the high pitch frequency.
- Only singles out a single sound and amplifies that and silences everything else around it.
