Armed with an innovative concept on how to solve a problem that plagued weapon systems, their company was conceived as MantaRails in the fall of 2009. The challenge was what to do with accessory pressure pads. The answer - and their first MantaRail product - was the Manta Micro Pocket Switch Holder. Introduced to the firearms industry in early 2010, the Manta Micro Pocket Switch Holder allowed a firearm operator to simply slide a pressure pad into the Micro Pocket and snap the Switch Holder on the rail . . . all in a matter of seconds.
Additional MantaRail products designed to interface with weapon rail systems soon followed and the MantaRails brand took hold. With a growing product line, MantaRails soon gained military recognition and was honored to begin supplying products to the United States Marine Corps. Today Manta is proud to be standard issue on two independent Marine Corps programs, including the U.S.M.C M27 Infantry Automatic Rifle. Over time, the development of products designed to interface with various parts of a weapon made Manta realize MantaRails had become more than just a gun rail accessory manufacturer and supplier. Knowing Manta would continue to develop new products for the weapons industry, they changed their company name to simply Manta. The change allows them to maintain their MantaRail roots, while continuing to diversify and expand their product line. Now you can add 2.75" of rail coverage with the M1020! The modular design allows you to interface panels with any of the MANTA rail guard products, allowing you to cover any exposed rail area! Cover your top rail to eliminate the mirage effect in your sights generated by the heat of the barrel! Run all wires and switches within the grip utilizing Micro Pocket Technology! Heat transfer from the rail to your hand has become a thing of the past with MANTA rail guards! All MANTA products are produced from Mil-Std materials that will resist Extreme Heat, Chemicals and Abrasion! Manta is proud to say that the M1020 is standard issue to the USMC as part of the M27IAR program and has been assigned National Stock Number NSN1005016071663. The micro pocket switch adapter allows you to insert a micro switch from either a laser, flashlight, or PEQ into the adapter itself that attaches to a standard rail. This adapter keeps the heat off of the rubber micro switch and also provides a rail cover for better heat resistance. The added button allows for a point of reference when inserting your micro switch.Specifications:

The Manta Rail cover pressure switch pocket is an incredibly comfortable and practical solution for holding your pressure switch for tactical accessories.
I recently purchased this rail cover to accommodate the pressure switch for my Nitecore P12. The cover firmly holds the pressure switch, albeit that due to the rubberized nature of material used, it was very grippy when sliding the switch into the cover (do so carefully). That same quality however, makes the Manta cover very comfortable, with the raised button useful in helping to locate the switch area. It also firmly grips the rail and maintains its shape very well, better than most rubberized covers. It also looks very sleek on the rail.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a high-quality solution to holding a pressure switch on a rail.
Pros:
- Rubberized material is grippy and comfortable
- Raised switch contact area makes it easier to find where to press in combat
- Stays on the rail extremely well
- Holds a wide variety of presure switches firmly due to its flexible nature
- Great asthetics, very sleek.
Cons:
- Really none to speak of, this is absolutely a best-in-class product.
