The Lonex reinforced gearbox is designed as a major upgrade over standard gearboxes. This product is a mixture of a variety of high-temperature metallic materials and after a lengthy testing, toughness, strength are up to the highest standards, and has the effect of impact-resistant. Lonex uses a new accurate 8mm design which the bearings effectively control the center movement reducing friction; therefore, reducing heat and battery consumption. The 8mm bearing is designed by Japanese specifications of 8mm x 3mm x 2.5mm which accentuates the strength and smoothness of the gearbox to a long lasting degree. Upgrading from your stock gearbox would increase the overall durability of the gun as well increase the lifespan. Additionally, the Lonex gearbox is reinforced on the front end where the cylinder head sits, which must endure the constant impact of the piston for upwards of several thousand rounds, as this is the most common place for a gearbox to break.

i bought one of these for my valken alloy high speed build. Thinking Lonex was a good brand with a good rep. Ive installed the gearbox in the gun and have played around the house with it, but never fielded it yet. I was preparing the gun to go to the field this weekend since I got the new hopup and feeding issues squared away. Much to my disappointment I found a crack had occurred on the bottom front with less than 2000 rounds through the gun. I might also mention that I had to return the first one because the front ring where the mag release feeds through came broken off or a missed casting at the factory.
Pros:
shiney, functions well for a short time, comes with a tappet plate
Cons:
not very well reinforced on the bottom front, prone to cracking very quickly in a high stress build.
Perhaps the ones I got came from a bad batch, but Im not going to spend another 50$ on a gearbox shell just to find out.
