I have used a couple of these mechboxes for fixing a number of guns. I had a Marui G36K (custom) that had the stock mechbox fracture. I used this mechbox as a repair platform by swapping out all the upgrade parts from the old mechbox and putting them into the new one. This worked great.
I more recently used one to do a battlefield mechbox swap when my brother's Echo G36C had a piston break. The JG mechbox works just fine, and is inexpensive enough to have a spare on hand.
Pros:
Low cost
OK internals
Easy installation
Great platform for upgrades
Cons:
Actual FPS can vary a lot
Piston and piston head are cheap
The tappet plate can flex too much in high FPS situations
The selector plate is made from a brittle plastic that can easily break if the selector switch is abused
Hi this is not a review but i was wondering if this comes with metal busings and what size?

Is the wiring the same as shown or is it with the tamiaya adapter clips? I am looking for this exact one without the adapters and was wondering if it'll work.. thanks!

What spring does this gearbox have?
I am looking for a replacement because I do not feel comfortable going into the mechbox. My fps is Marui low and I wanted to give it some speed yet stay around the 350 range. Thanks ASGI!

Staff Answer:
It depends on the length of the barrel you're using, but generally you can expect about 340-360 FPS. 3697 days ago 0
