New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.

The JG 614 is now in stock. Up until now the only way to get an airsoft replica 614 was to purchase an expensive high end gun or build one from a kit (an even more expensive option). The JG 614 is affordable but has all the features that make the 614 unique. It has a free floating RIS handguard that closes the traditional gap between the receiver and the standard handguard of the m4. The rear sight is removable and the front sight flips down out of the way when using optics. However, it still has many of the same features as the standard JG M4, including a full stock. It is also compatible with most major brands of standard and high capacity after market magazines. This airsoft gun from JG is an affordable option for anyone who likes the design of the 614.

Product Information:
This is a very good gun for the price. The performance is good and it is fully automatic. The fps i below 400 and the take down is relatively easy. The one con is the fact that it has a metal RIS - its beautiful but it has this kind of light plastic body. This make it unbalanced forwards but the full stock and the battery help distribute the weight. Overall the fire rate is good, the FPS is ideal for most fields and the accuracy is decent. The external quality of the RIS is great but the body is too light. Overall it is a solidly performing gun and it has no wobble whatsoever. Its a great Investment.

Pros:
+ Perfect FPS
+ Great stock ROF
+ Decent Accuracy
+ Easily Upgradeable
+ Versatile Length
+ Flip up sights
+ Its a 416
+ Ability to take a wide variety of batteries

Cons:
+ The transition of the plastic body and the great high quality RIS is awkward
+ The rails are sharp - CNC like quality
+ The accuracy is not the best
None of these cons are major as Metal Body Kits are widely available and will make your gun perfect.

Product Information:
For Jing Gong products, it can be said that many aren't up to par with similar models, however, many JG products are meant solely for a cheap price and decent specifications.
The JG 614 has been in my hands for about 7 to 8 months now and I can say that for a beginner rifle, this HK416 model is one of the best starter weapons on the market today.
It has it's positive points, with a guaranteed 400 fps rate out of the box or a high 380-390. It can reach up to 410-430 on some good days when the gearbox is "overcharged" or something of that trait. The weapon is also durable and appears to be designed to be long lasting. Plus for a JG product, it outperforms many of its brotherly M4 and M16 models from JG, KWA, and several other companies that produce entry-specific weapons. It has an extreme range and accuracy within the 100 feet mark and can go farther, estimated up to about 160 before the .20 bbs that I use start to drop off. The positive aspects stop there though.
Negatively, the guns design is horribly faulty. The full stock, while designed to contain a bar battery, the designers wired the internals strangely and added excessive blocks making it difficult to get the battery into the compartment to the point that I just removed the buttstock's hatch for the battery and bought a AR-15 buttstock compartment for an extra magazine at Academy in the Hunting Section and had the battery externally tied to the gun and to make the carrying of the battery easier. The majority of the gun is plastic except the inner barrel, the barrel, the magazine, and the forward RIS structure. The forward RIS suffers from being slightly wobbly, but nothing that is too big of a deal unless you count on the fact of making too much noise while moving around a lot and the rails are bigger than the average making it sometimes difficult to apply attachments. The gun uses a MP5 sight but for some reason, however, the sight is slightly low and makes it difficult and to see through the sights with a mask. Also, the metal circle for single-point slings is missing so a two point sling is suggested instead. The internals can also be somewhat annoying because the weapon has some lower grade design and weapon jams a lot on semi-auto, works great in full, and has some loose parts here and there that may require tightening with a screw driver. If you are expecting a stealthy Navy Seal HK416, I do not suggest getting this as your base for emulation as it is loud as hell, louder than any other airsoft gun I've seen.
Overall, the gun is high quality for an entry-level gun, the design is solid and has been through a lot, it has its issues but stands tall against its competitors. For the price, its 100% worth the price. I got mine during a reduced price sale for on 108, currently it sells for 140 though.

Pros:
- Cheap Price: got it for $108 without tax during the Spring of 2014, but currently sells for $140

- High Durability: this gun has been dropped more than enough times in sand, dirt, on stone, and carpet from running and falling to the dirt to avoid incoming fire, still works like it got out of the box

- Great Sight: MP5 metal iron sights similar to the real HK416

- High FPS: 400-range guaranteed, acts more like a DMR than an Assault Rifle, but works best on full automatic.

- Good range and accuracy up to 100 feet; outperforms the competition

- Parts that matter are all Metal

Cons:
- Full Stock, can be replaced but its not suggested due to internal issues with loose wires

- Battery does not fit

- Forward RIS is wobbly

- Some loose parts including the fuse box and motor within the pistol grip

- Bad internal wiring for battery

- Jams on Semi-Automatic fire

- Excessively long barrel that can get caught on things in the field

- No room for properly setting up single-point slings

- Extremely loud unlike most airsoft guns and creates quite a racket that may reveal your position

- Not full metal (Not expected though)

Product Information:
When i bought this gun, I was amazed at its power and size. But after about three months of use, I ran into some issues. The bb's went hardly thirty feet, and flew in every direction. Needless to say, i did not do well in that game. Finally, I talked to some guys at my local airsoft store, and he suggested a tight bore barrel and heavier bb's. I Tried this. and it worked like a charm. The bb's slow down the fps, but increase the range and accuracy. I added the tight bore barrel simply to bring the fps back up. The tight bore isn't 100% necessary, but i do strongly suggest that you use heavier bb's.

Pros:
full stock
sturdy
longish barrel
easy to upgrade

Cons:
Heavy
Inaccurate with lighter bb's.

Magazine help
Hi i bought this gun a few days ago and when i fully load the magazine that came with the gun, i have been needing to constantly wind the wheel at the bottom to re-load it every 5-6 shots or less. Ive seen YouTube videos of other people not having to do this but idk what mag they are using. Is there a mag i can buy where i dont need to do this? or am i missing something that i should know?

Staff Answer:
You need to wind all the way until you hear a double click. Other people use mid capacity magazines that do not require winding.

How does it stack up to other AEGs?
How does this gun stack up to other entry-level AEGs? My friend is looking at this, the JG Basic M4, the CYMA M14 SOCOM and the JG T3 and isn't sure which one to go with.

Staff Answer:
Out of all of these airsoft guns, they all contain similar internals. However, JG gears tend to be thicker for more durability. So it all ends up to on what your friend likes externally. This has a bigger battery compartment so you can play longer on the field with the use of a larger battery.

It takes a little bit of elbow grease; plug it in, put the bettery in first and tilt it up, then stuff the wires in the bottom, just make sure to not pinch the wires. If you still can't fit it, I would suggest buying a mini battery, it'll fit perfectly fine no trouble. Hope this helps bro. Good luck, and happy airsofting! :)
