G&G GR16 CQB H M4 Carbine AEG Airsoft Rifle (Black)
[R12C00][02683 / EGR16SCH]New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.
The new G&G GR-16 CQB-H Ver. 2 is everything you could want from your M4 and more. G&G stock externals are of better quality and more aesthetically pleasing than most aftermarket upgrade parts. The GR-16 features a full-metal aluminum body and one-piece outer barrel that is securely fastened to the upper receiver. The retractable AL crane stock is an excellent low-profile design that includes a quick detach sling swivel for carrying. A closed-cell foam cover over the tube provides a comfortable cheek weld. The removable rear iron sight is metal and fully adjustable. Functional forward assist will release compression in the spring between matches so it doesn't lose compression and cause an FPS loss. Scope mounting is enabled on the top RIS rails so you can install your favorite optics. G&G tastefully etched their logo, model and serial number on the mag well so everyone will know you're using the best precision-machined AEG.
Inside the Top Tech gearbox, the G&G GR16 features a ball bearing spring guide and 8mm ball bearing bushings. The gears, gearbox and bearings are all made of tough steel that can withstand heavy action. To compliment an adjustable hop-up the gun includes a 6.04mm tight bore barrel for true targeting. Firing options include full-automatic, semi-automatic and a safety for storage. The high-torque long axis motor runs a mini/crane style or custom nunchuck battery that installs in the front handguard. Many features that are considered special or upgrades for other AEGs come stock with the GR16 CQB M4 carbine, including a metal flash suppressor, high-capacity magazine, functional catch and pneumatic blowback. G&G is on their way to setting a new standard for top-quality AEGs. This gun is ready for even the most intense CQB scenarios with its durable construction and overall length of 710mm.Specifications:

Materials:
Receiver is a lightweight metal that seems sturdy enough, but until I bang it around a little more I cant say for sure how durable it is. Handguard seems to be a more solid plastic than most. The SOPMOD stock is solid and very comfortable, but the butt seems a little loose on the rail. I tried tightening it up, but ultimately there is still a little wobble.
Performance:
Shoots very well. Chronos at about 375 for me. Rate of fire is sufficient with an 8.4V 1100 mah battery, although I'm sure it could handle a 9.6V easily. Hop-up works quite well although the knob is a little stiff.
Problems:
My only real issue with this gun and the reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is because field stripping is a serious pain in the ass. This does not strip down like other M4s. Instead of removing a single pin in the lower receiver and flipping the upper receiver open, you have to UNSCREW the lower receiver pin and the forward receiver pin, then push the upper receiver forward while pulling the charging handle back. Of course before all that you have to disconnect the battery cables so the wires can be pulled out as the upper receiver is moved forward. As you can imagine, this can get really annoying especially if you are doing in in the field. Also, wear and tear can occur especially if you're like me and like to clean the gun after each game.
Overall:
Good gun, worth the money. This is now my main weapon with my old Echo1 M4 as a backup. Shoots quite well and can really reach out at a good distance for a CQB model . Preupgraded parts including tightbore barrel really help this gun to compete with more popular brands like CA and TM.
first, the construction is very solid. if you have ever held an M4(real steel) before than you would love this thing.
when i got it, i tried sighting in the iron sights and for SOME reason no matter how i adjusted them, they wouldnt even get close to being accurate. i dont know how big of a deal this is to other people, and i am sure it was just a lemon, but still, it was very aggravating.
other than that, i just want to warn everyone that this gun can be brittle. the magnesium upper receiver on this gun is a good weight for its strength, but at the same time it is somewhat easy to break if dropped on anything solid. but this is only something to really worry about it you are playing urban games.
the only other thing i have to complain about it the stock. Yes, it IS beautiful, and looks very fierce and evil, but it IS a little bit wobbly. its not anything TOO bad, but just know that it wobbles some. but still, it is very comfortable.
this gun is very beastly. the ROF is out of this world. and when you get hit by it, you know it. there is no need to even go by the honor system in a game because they WILL yell.
the forgrip fits perfectly and there is no wobble on the barrel or any part of the front of this gun.
Pros:
Rate of fire!
construction
feel
fps
wonderful internals
smooth selector switch
works just as well for longer ranges
cons:
i really hate having non-functional crap on an expensive gun(the bolt catch, charging handle and FA button)
the sight problem i had
you have to pull wires through the delta ring to field strip it
brittle material
a little wobble in the stock
price
this gun def outperforms any of my other guns so far, but when i get my ICS M4 soon, i will compare the 2.
4/5
Not too many people run this gun and it's a darn shame. Definitely a more unique take on the M4.
Pros:
-Incredibly comfy
-ver 2 gearbox
-full metal construction
Cons:
-stock is fixed

What is the required battery voltage for the weapon?
I can see what kind of battery I need but not what kind of voltage.

Staff Answer:
I recommend using a 9.6v NiMH, or a 7.4v LiPO battery. 2151 days ago 0
