E&L creates their AK AEGs in the same process used to create the airsoft gun's firearm counterparts; however, E&L uses a process which changes the stamped steel AK receivers from a firearm component into a shell capable of accepting a Version 3 Gearbox. E&L is focused on making their line of airsoft guns as aesthetically realistic as possible. E&L Airsoft has teamed up with other companies in the airsoft industry to produce high performance and high quality internals for their AEGs. All E&L AKs use standard Version 3 gearboxes which can accept any Marui-compatible components.
The E&L A111 AIMS is constructed from a stamped steel receiver and real wood grips. Internally this rifle comes equipped with steel high torque gears, high torque motor, and reinforced piston for increased reliability and performance. if your looking to buy an ak i would strongly recommend this one or any e and l ak. its full steal and real wood(with a plastic pistol grip but thats what the real thing has). the wooden fore grip is a nice touch and the folding stock makes it even better. the gun comes oiled out of the box with a few cleaning items and a mag. the mag did not work at all for me and the gun took about 200 rounds before it started to be consistent with its shots. but after that it shot very very well. I've had it for about a little over a year and it has served me well. one of my big complaints though is that i was not expecting it to rust so much, i take very good care of my guns but this one rusts very easily although its easy to clean off with some steel wool and CLP. over all it has a great feel and look as well as being one of the best aks on the market, i would definitely recommend getting it if you're going to take care of it
