G&G Combat Machine CM16 R8-L M4 Carbine AEG Airsoft Rifle (Tan)
[R08A00][17299 / EGC-16P-R8L-DNB-NCM]New to airsoft? Here are some safety tips for airsoft guns that we recommend following.
The Combat Machine R8-L AEG Airsoft Gun is a great addition to G&G's already impressive Combat Machine lineup of budget-friendly AEG's. The first thing the user will notice when shouldering the airsoft gun is it's high quality polymer body that helps make it extremely durable while still remaining surprisingly lightweight. Next, you will notice it's 10 inch free-float polymer rail system. This RIS unit is perfect for the addition of your favorite accessories like lights, lasers, vertical grips, Contour cameras, etc. and because it too is constructed out of polymer, it also helps to keep the overall weight of the R8-L surprisingly low. Finally, what sets the R8-L apart from the rest of it's Combat Machine counterparts is the fact that it includes a 30mm aimpoint style red dot as well. This means that other than some eye protection and a few extra bags of bb's, you will have everything you need to go out and be competitive on the field all in one package. So if you are looking for a great new field-length airsoft gun that you won't have to empty your wallet to have, be sure to check out the Combat Machine R8-L AEG Airsoft Gun. The CM16 R8-L is a great platform for medium to longer range engagements, with a polymer body that helps keep the weight down allows you to close the gap between you and your target a lot faster.

I ordered this gun as a Christmas gift for myself and I am very happy with it! It feels very sturdy and I have not noticed any loose/wiggling parts on the gun or the stock. Shoots VERY accurately, one thing worth mentioning is if you purchase this gun on most other websites, it will be about 50 FPS lower, as AirsoftGI carries the High Muzzle Velocity version. Lastly, I can admit this is my first time investing in an AEG over $100. So while I might not have that much experience with quality airsoft guns, it is still very obvious that the quality beats anything under or up to the same price!
Pros:
-Very solid polymer body, not extremely heavy but definitely not light
-Gearbox does not sound whiny like I've experienced with cheaper guns
-Red dot sight is very easy to sight in, and has very dim settings for dark situations/very bright for outdoors
-Very accurate and bb does not drop at all in my 100ft backyard setting, can definitely reach a lot further; almost like bbs reach target in split second
Cons:
-Charging handle is non-functional, does not open hop up chamber
-Non blowback
-Does not come with iron sights (Might not be a con for most people, I am a fan of iron sights)
Bought this gun on Amazon, but I haven't been disappointed. Although hesitant to try another polymer gun after the crane stock randomly snapped in half last time around, this gun's build quality excels my expectations.
Pros:
·The polymer 10 in. RIS keeps this gun light; fatique is minimal in comparison to other like-sized guns in its class.
·The gun shoots accurately on both .20s and .25s, and still accurate when using canted ironsights/canted red dot (moreso on .20s than .25s).
·AR modularity (currently installing a 6.03 mm barrel and a mock suppressor
·The polymer reciever can take a fair amount of punishment.
·I love the battery compartment design; crane stock batteries have come a long way in 5 years.
Cons:
·The mag well prefers cmag-style mags, and it will accept KWA 120rd mags flawlessly.
·RIS polymer is quality, but you can't beat a good metal RIS(RIP old M4).
Combat Machine R8-L AEG Airsoft Gun ( Battery and Charger Package / Tan )
Pros:
Very Durable, accurate, great internals, great fps, solid build, high quality, simplistic and light weight, sturdy grip, stock, trigger guard, great price
Cons:
outer barrel could use some reinforcing, RIS is polymer so it scrapes easy, battery isnt super easy to get to

FPS
I saw many videos saying this gun shoots around 350fps but you guys have it listed for 390 to 380. I wanted to get this one over the cm16 long version because it looks cooler but I don't want to sacrifice fps. If you guys could clarify that would be great thanks.

Staff Answer:
G&G makes both a low and high power of their guns, so it's possible the review either used a low power version, or used heavy BBs in their testing. Typically these guns shoot 380 FPS. 2185 days ago 0

How much mAh is too much?
I'm not looking to kill my gun with ampage, but I would like it to run at peak performance. While running 9.6 volts through it, what mAh would I hit maximum performance at without destroying my motor, gearbox, etc?

(I have this same question)
1. I would run LiPO batteries in this gun with stock internals.
2. 9.6v should be good to use just don't overcharge the battery
3. Peak Performance does not always rely on the battery, performance mainly relies on the motor, the gearbox and the hop up and barrel.
