Description:
Russ Kommer is a bright young custom knifemaker who was based in Anchorage, Alaska for many years. Conditions there are tough, either from climate or the hard work many residents of Alaska are doing. He thought a knife that was easy to grip and hard to lose would be a huge hit, and he wasn't wrong. Originally designed as a concept for a self defense knife for women that would be light, easy to control, and easy to conceal in a handbag or clutch, nowadays it seems that every parachutist, bush pilot and fisherman needs one.

As a Result, Russ and CRKT teamed up to ramp into full production of his Bear Claw design, a cutting powerhouse that, thanks to it's generous central finger hole, acts just like an extension of your own hand. It is the perfect emergency cutting tool for anyone who needs to quickly cut rope, seatbelts, netting or webbing, especially if their lives depend on it.

The Bear Claw has a razor sharp edge and a pointed tip. Each blade is full-tang, taper ground AUS-4 stainless steel with a fine bead blast finish. Friction grooves are placed on the spine of the blade, choil, and near the tip for maximum blade control and safety. The glass filled nylon handle fills the hand neatly and evenly, and the total package weighs in at only 3.2 ounces.
